cake table

So I'm having a rainbow wedding. Colors are pink, peach, yellow, green, and blue. Not quite as light as pastels but not dark colors either.

Anyway, cake is white fondant with white piping. Can anyone think of any ideas of how to subtly add some color to the cake table without it looking like easter threw up on it?

Thanks for any ideas in advance!

Are you going to decorate the cake in any way, maybe with flowers?  Or you could set flowers out on the table?

I'd avoid sprinkling anything in a bunch of different colors all over the table.  Keep it fairly simple.  Candles may be a good option.  You could even do white candles with colored ribbons.

Maybe just incorporate your wedding flowers on the top and cascading down the side? And I like Erica's idea- different colored flowers might be nice.

I didn't even think about flowers on the table! haha. I'll talk to my florist to get some bud vases on the table with a couple flowers from the centerpieces. If I end up not liking that then I think the candles are a good idea too. I want to keep it really simple so I think the ribbon around the holders would be lovely. And that would tie in nicely with the place cards and ceremony programs.

    Thank you!

I like the cascading idea - how about something like this?

Ooohh, I love New's pic. I like the idea of candles with different colored ribbons also. We had just a green leaf-like swag around our table with some flower petals scattered around. We also had the toss bouquet and bouquet for the anniversary dance winners on each side of the cake, so that is an idea if you are doing both of those traditions.

Yeah, I was going to suggest using the BM's bouquets to decorate the cake table.  I've seen that at a few weddings since my own and thought it was a good idea!

These are all good ideas. I'll talk with my florist and bakery to see if flowers can go on the cake. it would alter the design though so we'll see if I end up liking it.

If not, the candles with ribbon is probably what I'll go with. I really like both ideas.

    Thanks again: )

Check out my pro pics, I did pink, orange, and yellow flowers on my cake.  Since my mom was making the cake, it cut down on the decorating that she had to do.  It turned out to be one of my favorite details of the wedding!
