It's nighttime somewhere

And my evening plans just got scuttled cause they don't have enough people to play kickball (I was going to watch - not play).  Now I have to decide what to do for dinner.  Decisions, decisions...  But, no question, I'll be home for Big Brother so that's a plus :).

• aww!
If I could walk or run, I'd volunteer to play
• Heya Loops! I'm still at work for another half hour or so. I just got really sleepy.

Happy late afternoon.  :)  I'm a hit in the office today because I brought in all of the retro candy I got for H's birthday last week that he doesn't want.  Granted the Freshouts don't appreciate much of it, but still, it's free sugar.

• I'm glad you made it home okay Edie.

Loopy - I'm sorry your plans were cancelled. I am going to have some chinese leftovers for dinner. Mmmm.
• I'm trying to get details done with the DJ (wedding is a week from tomorrow - OMG OMG OMG)... and we just cannot seem to hookup. I feel so bad, as he's called 3 times this week and it's just been bad times for me and he has events going on, so I can't seem to catch him, either. No one is really at fault (and we have communicated via e-mail), but I just want to get another CHECK out of the way.

Annnd the mom of one of my closest friends (who I consider a sister) just informed me she can't make it like she'd originally thought. I totally understand, but I'm still super bummed; she's "my other mother" so I was really hoping she'd be there.
• Haha did we kill the afternoon thread with Madagascar?

I'm taking it easy tonight. Normally this is yoga night but Muni has rehearsal and after sitting in the heat for an hour, I didn't want to do any workouts. I'm making my meal plan and going to the grocery instead.

And my computer froze while typing this so I may be way behind now.

Hello, hello.

I wish we'd get some more rain here. It rained a bit last night, but not much.

I really really hate packing clothes for a move. I wish I could just get a bunch of boxes with the rod inside so I could just pop the clothes in with the hanger, but since we're loading things into our own cars and not a UHaul I don't think that'd work so well. Ugh.
• I'm sorry KB.  I would have been so bummed if BF's family couldn't make mine.

Hello. I feel like a Class A Nutjob tonight because I shouldn't be upset about this, but I am. I know how stupid I'm being, but I still feel like kicking a pebble.

The guy I dated before FI cheated on me (several times) with his ex and then got back together with her the night we broke up. Okay, whatever. Life goes on. I was angry, and then I got over it.

I heard through a mutual friend that they got engaged exactly one year after I did. Their wedding date is the same day as mine. Their colors are the same. They're using the venue I would have used if we were getting married near my family.

I know it isn't a copycat thing because I have both of them blocked from FB, and I haven't shared very many details with anyone. Even if they did hear some things through the grapevine, I know they didn't do it on purpose. She and I have a LOT in common, so it wasn't a surprise that they picked October, that venue, and those colors. It just skeeves me out and makes me feel like throwing a tantrum. :-P I have no idea why. I just do. I realize how dumb I'm being.
• Hey guys. I'm multitasking and checking Tk while I'm on my bike getting in some light cardio. It's storming here; this moved in as I got into my car and I was almost hit by a wind blown sign. And then by some massive truck who couldn't wait to turn and came about two inches from scraping along the side of my car just so he could squeeze in.

That there is funny, I tell ya!
• Yeah, mom seems excited about moving to an appartment so it looks like we're going to have to pack up the house soon. A pain, but worth it.

Glo - is that what you want us to call you now? Or do you still want us to call you by your old SN?

Lizzie - Was it the beefy 5 layer burrito? I love that.
• I so want taco bell. It's never been a problem for me digestive wise. That's KFC for me.

No, it was the beef cantina style burrito. It looked so good on the menu, and tasted pretty good, too. I haven't had Taco Hell in years, and will likely never have it again after today.
• Did Musu ever get her computer fixed? I missed the end of the night thread and all of today's threads.
• Wrigley - that's definitely kick-a-pebble worthy. I'd be disappointed too.

Erin - hilarious!
• Erin, that's pretty awesome actually.  How old is the brother?

Thanks... my MOH's dad also like family to me can't make it either. Like I said, I totally understand with work and such, but it doesn't stop me from being bummed out.
• Mmm, grape pie.  Well, at least he didn't say hair.  :)

Wrigley, I confess to kicking pebbles when my ex-fiance got engaged before I did.  I think it's totally normal to feel like that sometimes.

• Hey everyone!

I hung out with my best friend and her son today. We got an ice cream and then went back to her place, while her son went in his kiddie pool and we played.  H has a friend coming over and I have yet to eat dinner.

I was going to just have a bagel and the thing was moldy...I am pissed...it was less than a week old!

So my options are: freezer burned frozen pizza, hot dog with a stale roll, or sneak out and get macdonalds.

• I stayed late at work to get some stuff done and snag some overtime and I'm on the metro home. I'm ready to snuggle with the kitties. I am lookin forward to the weekend. The new cheetah cubs are debuting to the public Saturday at the zoo and I am looking forward to seeing them for the first time. I love the zoo.
Wrigley, I get it.  In fact, something similar happened to me today, although not nearly on that scale.  When I was with my ex-BF, we bought the Jeep, but it's solely in his name.  It's paid for now (it wasn't when we broke up), so I'm trying to get the title out of him.  I've been trying to call him, and sent a message to him through FB, and I've got nothing.  Today, I wrote him a letter, and looked up his address on whitepages.com.  Just to be sure, I checked his wife's FB page to make sure they were still in the city I thought they were in.  That didn't help me at all, but what was weird about it is there's a picture of him putting shoes on his daughter, and sitting on the exact same couch he and I used to have ("our" couch is now sitting in my garage, waiting on me to clean it up and sell it).  Basically, either his wife had the same couch I have before they got married, or they bought the same couch he had in my house.  It's just a little creepy and weird to me. It's a couch, Holly.  Cool story.
Posted by Holly4212011
<div>
</div><div>You could look him on spokeo.com if you can't find him anywhere else. I have had good luck with that, at least to verify city.</div><div>
</div><div>Edit: And that had nothing to do with the couch...but I still think that is a normal feeling.

If the roll isn't too stale, sprinkle it with some water, wrap it in foil and put it in the oven on 200 for a few minutes. Softens it right up.
