Finally got the ring back! Now to wait...

...for him to actually propose!

We'd had to send the engagement ring to a custom jeweler so they could form our wedding band around it--the two rings snap together to form a wider ring with one bigger white stone framed by tiny black and white diamonds. It's way cool. It was totally his idea too. But the artists were taking FOREVER. They told us 4-6 weeks and they'd taken 3 MONTHS! So finally we went in to the store yesterday to approve the wax mold for casting and get the engagement ring.

I refuse to wear it until he actually proposes, but I can't stop sneaking looks at it. Such a girl, haha.

I'm excited!

    Not yet, since the wedding band is only formed from wax so far. They still have to make a mold from that and cast the actual ring.

    I'll post engagement ring pics once I'm wearing it :P It's simple but pretty.

    My ring is being custom designed, too.  This makes me worry that it will take a lot longer than the 3 weeks we were promised...

    But this is really exciting for you!  I love black diamonds.  Can't wait to see it.

    We didn't give them a deadline, though. Did you tell them you have a specific date when it has to be done? It might have helped us to have made one up Wink

    Alas, no.  It never even occured to me to do that.  Maybe I'll email the jeweler tomorrow and see if I can gently impose one.
