Venues?!?!

Ladies!

I am in need of advice...my FI and I are planning our wedding for June 2011 and are looking for a place with an outdoor site for the ceremony and indoor for the reception.  We are planning on having 125 guests and have talked about Tad Akers, The Centurion Palace, and White House Ranch (we are wanting to stay within the Clear Lake/League City/Friendswood area).  Does anyone have any information/pricing/reviews on these three locations or suggestions on any other venues in this area??  We are trying to stay within a $10,000 budget total for catering, ceremony, reception, flowers, cakes, and DJ.

Thanks!

We just booked yesterday with Centurion Palace if you book on a Friday or Sunday I think it starts at 4950 for 50 people and Saturday evening packages are 7950.00 which include DJ,minister,Brides Cake, Linens,China, Buffet, Champange Toast, and standard center pieces all you worry about is the photographer, grooms cake, flowers!
I believe most of the packages include everything it is just shorter time.
    Michelle was amazing!
I didn't see the White House Ranch but they can tailor a package to your budget.
    Hope this helps

I was a Centurion Bride and it was awesome! I was interesed in White House Ranch but never got to see it, and was far from impressed with Tad Akers.

I picked White House Ranch, and I think it's doable for $10K.  I think it's beautiful and has more charm than Centurion, which was built specifically for weddings.  It just depends on what you're looking for.  Go see both.  I didn't see Tad Akers.

I am not sure if you have looked at it (or ruled it out) but I absolutely loved Butler's Courtyard.  I live in the Clear Lake area too and wanted to stay that way originally (although I somehow ended up in Tomball of all places lol).  I loved Butler's Courtyard.  They have a nice place for an outdoor ceremony and the thing that I loved hte best was that it wasn't cookie cutter and it has those great houses (one for the guys and one for the girls).  It's worth checking out if you haven't already and it is definitely doable on your budget and they are all inclusive.

Thanks ladies!  I love White House Ranch, so I called them and found that the catering is the only downside...$7K for that alone.   My FI and I are going to check out TAD AKERS next Friday, so we will see! :)

qtpipooh2000  Thanks for the idea!  Does Butler's Courtyard have an indoor space big enough for 150 people and a dance floor?
