Woman, get in the kitchen!

What is/was for dinner tonight?

I'm thinking of making a cajun shrimp alfredo pasta but this couch is comfy and I'm feeling lazy.

Either left over roast from last night (mmm... it was YUMMY!) or we might go out.  :-) Not completely sure yet, but now I'm getting hungry! lol
  • We went to BDubs for dinner. Chicken wings, nom!
  • I think we're going out.  I've got stuff for Thai Shrimp in the fridge but I don't feel like cooking.

  • I'm usually too tired on Fridays to cook.. pasta is about all I can muster up tonight.

And Roxy, I don't understand how you eat CHIPS (with a side of cereal) for dinner, and still look as thin as you do.  Sheesh.

I was skeptical at first, because it's tuna noodle casserole and it just has such awful connotations. But this is the second time I've made it and it's dee-freaking-licious.

  • i have to say I am one very lucky lady!  My FI is a Chef and his current job is an AM Manager for a catering business... which means any of their leftovers he brings home to me for my dinner (since he has a second job at night) and lunch for work the next day! :) (yes I am very spoiled! ;)  plus it saves on our grocery bill! lol
tonight was eggplant parm, crispy green beans and brown rice! yummmmy!
hope you all enjoyed your dinner and your friday night!

  • I dunno Lauren.. it's tuna.. and a casserole.  I am hesitant.  (Btw, liking the new siggy)
  • Thanks! And I totally get what you mean. I really wasn't sure either. I'm telling you though, it's good. FI had the same reaction you did the first time I made it.

  • I haven't had dinner, but I have been cooking all day.  Making pickles, cheese and pasta sauce so I will probably eat that for dinner.

  • we were going to have ravioli but FSIL called and was alone and bored so we took her out to horsefeathers. i had an edelberg pumpernick (turkey, ham, bacon, horseradish cheddar, russian on pumpernickel). it was good. probably the last i'll eat of that in a while :(
  • There was a huge accident on one of the bridges in our city.  Dinner was me coming in about an hour late, and ordering take out for the ravenous family.  I had chicken caesar wrap (with fries, sadly).

I had Fatburger chili cheese fries and an Oreo shake.  Yes, it was one of those days today.
  • I had Japanese vegetables. Right now, I really wish I had a kit kat bar. Or maybe some kettle corn.
  • Japanese vegetables *will not* do it.  Find food, fast.
  • No! I've got a wedding dress to fit into in a week.
  • OH crap!  OK, air and molecules.  Air and molecules.  Yep, and some water.  Not saying you're oversized, just saying what I would say to myself in that instance.  You're getting married in a week?  Holy crap.   ('why am I in panic mode?)
  • I'm surprisingly not panicked. I thought I would be, but I'm not. Work has me more crazed than the wedding.
  • No cottage cheese, CEW?  Are you feeling ok?

  • Cew, kettle corn is my favorite! You should treat yourself to some. You'll still fit into your dress, I promise. :) What kind of Japanese veggies did you have? Those sound yummy.

  • I love the smart pop 100 cal packs of kettle corn.  Not because they're only 100 cals (but that's always a bonus) but because they're the perfect size for me.

  • You know me so well! I skipped the cottage cheese tonight because my girlfriends took me out to dinner. But the strangest thing happened when I opened the fridge to get a diet coke a few minutes ago, my tub of cottage cheese tried to shame me. It was wearing a wedding dress and crying. I didn't really get it. Whatever. My cottage cheese is a bitch.

  • Exactly J&K. H is so unreasonably weird about those mini-bags. If that's all we have and he wants popcorn, he just won't have any because it's "not enough." I tell him to make 2 but he just can't do it. I have no idea why this happens.

  • No Cew, your cottage cheese is a thunder stealer. Trying to look all white on your wedding day and crap.

  • You're right, beatles. What an asshole!

And yeah. I just ate two of those 100 calorie bags. We didn't have kettle corn, so I settled for movie theater style.
  • Your cottage cheese is going to have a cottage cheese baby on the dance floor at your reception.

They were yummy! I had edimame (sp?), salad and hibachi veggies (broccoli, carrots, snow peas, etc.) with rice.
  • I think your cottage cheese should be kicked out of your WP. Or just invite it to the drinks and dancing part later.

  • Well, that motherfucker is definitely already on the b-list. I'm thinking that I'll demand that it get it's nails and hair done. I may even mandate tanning. Cottage cheese is real white.
