Maggiano's Cakes-New Vendor

I was checking in with Cassy on ordering my cake from Creations Bakery and she advised that Freed's was their new cake vendor. Has anyone used them? Hope they're good!

Freeds is one of the more popular places in Vegas. I have heard good things, but I am still looking forward to working with creations, the cakes were soooo good. But it is weird that Maggianos is changing again, they used to use freeds, and Cassy said that they werent really worth the money. I do know that Freeds is much more expensive, so I hope I am still able to use creations for my wedding day..

I would bet if you've already worked with Cassy on the Creation's cake, they would keep it. I hadn't booked anything yet, so it doesn't really matter to me. The cake is one thing I'm not going to be picky about! :)

I considered Freed's and opted to use Creations since they were Maggiano's Preferred vendor.  I found Freed's very busy, more expensive and yet they were very, very nice - I just really thought I got more personalized service through Creations.  Suzie had a rough year with personnel changes, personal illness and moving to a new location.  Her business has grown way faster than I think even she anticipated and as every small business owner knows that can be painful.  With that said I don't regret my choice - although getting hold of her was at times almost impossible, I gave her alot of leeway and just trusted her expertise.  She came through with flying colors and I would recommend her to any bride who is laid back enough to roll with long periods of silence.

Good Luck and please don't hesitate to show us pictures!!

Freed's is the old tried and true around Vegas but they are not always good. Too bad Magg's doesn't work with Retro Bakery.

Thanks red for that! I feel the same way about creations, she is super nice and has GREAT cakes! I get a little bit antsy if I dont hear back but I have been VERY forgiving... I sent her an email 3 months ago and I never heard back, I am just trying to be confident that she read it and made a note and just never got back to me. I will probably call her in a few weeks just to confirm everything, but I am sure she has it. She thoroughly expressed that she hates email and has trouble keeping up with them so I will just call when it gets closer to the day :)
