Wedding Coordinator

I'm a little embarassed to admit this but...<cringe> I am not very much enjoying wedding planning - and I've barely begun! The whole process is overwhelming and taxing.  I've never been one of those girls who's always dreamed of this day and had it all worked out in my head prior to becoming engaged. It doesn't help that I have a very demanding job that contributes to my anxiety and lack of time to plan.  Fi's been great - he actually has done more research than I have.  We don't have anything booked as of yet...just toured several venues.  But the thing is...I REALLY want a wedding!  I just don't want to do the planning.  I've offered money to several friends to take on the task, but no takers so far ;)

My question is...Does anyone have a recommendation for reasonably priced complete wedding coordinators?  I'm thinking under $1500...is this even possible for someone reputable?  I've checked out a few websites but, of course, no one lists their prices online.

Maybe this is just a phase and next week I'll be in full planning mode!

Any and all ideas welcome!

    Hang in there!  I think everyone feels a little overwhelmed with planning, especially in the beginning.  I found it helped to set out a tenative timeline for myself so I had some structure to my planning.  Of course, everytime some Knottie posted about her really cool ________, I always got sidetracked on looking into that thing.  Still, it helped to have a game plan.  Good luck!

    I'm working with Kirsten of Fab.you.lous Event Design.  We booked the middle package and that sounds like what your needing.  We booked most of our people but I still wanted help with colors and the way things look.  She helps with that stuff and she can still coordinate it.  She's been good to work with so far.  Her website is www.fabyoulousevents.com.     Our florist, Deven Nelson, also does wedding planning/coordination. We didn't hire her for that, but based on all of our interactions with her, her level of professionalism, and knowledge of the industry, I think she would have been FABULOUS for the job. Info in married bio.

    PS - I think it's totally ok that wedding planning is not your thing! I actually thought it'd be pretty tedious, but ended up getting into it. It's definitely not for everyone though, and a lot of it IS tedium - comparing, selecting, and hiring vendors, paying attention to small details that may or may not hold your interest, etc. Just focus on one thing at a time, beginning with venues (which will set your date), and it really will all fall into place!

    I worked with and would reccommend Stephanie of First Blush Bride. We used her for mostly Day of Coordination, but she also helped me along the way with planning, vision, etc! I believe she has 2 packages, both listed on her website:

    No need to feel ashamed :) This whole planning thing gets old FAST! I am not a gal who ever had thoughts or dreams about her wedding either, so I can totally relate. But I'm too type-A to hand over the reigns completely so we are using Lisa Jaster of LMJ Originals as a day-of coordinator. I definitely recommend her, she's been in the wedding photog biz for over a decade and is now expanding into wedding planning. She has gone above and beyond thus far.     Again, don't feel bad about not enjoying it. I know quite a few brides who hate(d) it! 
    About the coordinator, I second Deven Nelson. She is doing our flowers and being our DOC as well. Both her and her prices are amazing!  Def check her out!
