Too big for a stroller

http://toobigforstroller.com/page/1

Hilarious.  When I worked in retail I always used to see the oldest/biggest looking kids shoved into strollers and never got it.

Re: Too big for a stroller

  • I have seen way to many kids like that. It amazes me that the damn stroller doesn't topple over on them.

And I hate it when I see kids that are like 4 or 5 yrs old with a freaking pacifer in their mouths.
  • I'm sorry Pink, but you're definitely too big for a stroller.

  • I took my daughter to Disney World 2 years ago when she was 3 and we never had to rent a stroller for her. I swear there were kids, ages 6 and 7, who were riding in them. It made me sick!

  • Ha!  In that last pic, the kid in the stroller appears to be older than the kid walking along side of it.

  • Whenever I see this, I look around for another child.  I figure there must be a younger child here somewhere who actually needs to stroller and this big kid is just trying to be funny.  Often, I am wrong.

  • There are more pages of pictures under the 'WALK' title at the top of the page.

Are the kids just lazy and don't want to walk or do the parents find it easier to just push them then deal with them walking in public?

  • I know that I used to babysit for a kid who walked craaaaaaaazy slow and she would look at EVERYTHING. Her mom said she put her in a stroller whenever she could because that way she could MAKE her move. She was 4 when I last saw her...I really hope her mom has stopped by now - she's probably 8 these days.
  • How about this one:

My brother decided to steal his daughter's seat whilst watching a triathalon.

    lol

On the one hand, that is really disgusting. On the other hand, I like the shaming involved.
  • The last one makes the most sense to me because clearly it's for the younger kid and he probably wanted to get out for a bit or something.

Not gonna lie, H and I are naturally fast walkers, and I don't see us dealing well with a 4-5 year old who insists on walking but is too slow.  I have a feelng I'll be forcing them into a stroller sometimes, especially if we were somewhere like Disney with tons of walking all day.

I know, right. And not to mention what it can do to their developing speech and language. As a preschool teacher, it irks me to no end.

Mommy and Daddy may need to slow down. Disney, for example, is the place where you slow it down and enjoy the sights. lol

I think that many times when people put their kids in strollers is not because they walk slow, but because they don't want to deal with them running off. The issue is more discipline related IMO.

  • Some of those aren't actually horrible, where you can tell the kid is young and just tall.  But others are obviously at least 8 years old.  I promise I won't have any 8 year olds in a strollers!

5 though, I make no guarantees.  And I definitely wouldn't ever do it just to go for a walk or something, but somewhere like Disney or an amusement park probably.  You can't bring bikes into those places for them to ride.

  • I can't remember ever riding in a stroller.  I think I was out of them by the time I was 3 or so.  My parents were pretty damn poor and probably couldn't afford a second stroller when my sister came along, so that's probably around the time I stopped.

<div>I more meant for Disney that it's a whole lot of walking for kids to do and they will get tired.  But yeah, we are fast walkers,  Obviously we will slow down when we have kids that are walking.  But even with my Godson after so long I would so "okay, ready for a piggy back ride?"</div>
Most of those kids look miserable all smushed in the strollers.  Poor things.
    Posted by ILoveMilkDuds
That's probably because they were acting up right before - and they got strapped into the stroller until they calmed way the hell down.  Or at least that is what always seemed to happen when taking my kids out for a day at the zoo or something.  The little one would have to walk for awhile so the older could be "parked".

Of course - this was only up to about the age of 4 - after that if either of them acted up - we were going home.

    funny pictures though!
