Flower petals

Hi ladies,

If you are using flower petals instead of an aisle runner, will you be using real or silk flower petals? Also, where are you getting them from?

For an outdoor wedding, I wouldn't use silk flowers. You'll have to make sure you pick up every last one or you'll basically be littering. Natural flowers decompose so you don't have to pick them all up.

Real petals are lovely... and eco-friendly as they will decompose outside. I'm using rose petals or hydrangea petals for our beach wedding... Our florist has said she can provide them in cones or in baskets for the flower girls to drop...

I plan to use real...I think its worth the extra cost. I think silk may look cheap

our venue doesnt allow either. its a nice university garden with weddings almost every day of the week + some.

unfortunatly our flower girl will have nothing to throw, but just carry a pomander probably. she'll probably be excited either way.
