to think it's weird that FBIL told us he and his GF are bringing her (uninvited) 10 year old nephew? FI thinks it's totally cool, but I find it weird that they're bring someone else's kid who is no relation to either of us, driving him several hours and I'm assuming staying in the hotel with them, and I've never met him and FI has only once or twice. FBIL is in the wedding also. Sorry for the mini rant, but FI just thinks I'm totally overreacting.

    No, that's totally bizarre.  If it had been the GF's son I could maybe understand, but nephew?  Put your foot down, that's not acceptable.

    Yeah... that's really weird.  Why is the nephew coming?  Does the GF have custody of him or something?  If that was the case I could maybe understand but otherwise... yeah... weird.

    That is really weird....I think there must be more to this story & if it were me I would have to find out the rest from FBIL...but I'm nosey like that ;)
