Wedding Venues that allow your own alcohol/caterer

Does anyone know of any wedding venues that can accomodate 250-300 people in the dayton/cinci area that allows you to bring your own alcohol and caterer?  I've been searching online and haven't had any luck.

Re: Wedding Venues that allow your own alcohol/caterer

  • We're having our wedding at Lake Lyndsay in Hamilton, OH in July and they allow both. If you're a DIY bride is is perfect for you! The rental fee just covers the venue and then you find all your own vendors. Renting the venue itself is a little more expensive then most, but I think we've saved money in the long run since we are bringing our own alcohol and picked inexpensive vendors for everything else. Our guest list is 330, so we are in The Lodge (there are 3 venues on the property). Lyndsay has been AMAZING to say the least- she offers great advice and always answers questions within 24 hours. It doesn't hurt that the lake is absolutely beautiful, too!! Worth checking out: http://www.lakelyndsay.com/
  • lake lyndsay is really nice
  • Can't help with Cinci area, but you might want to check out the following in Dayton:

    B&B Riverfront Hall

    Arbor Hall
    <a href="http://www.arborhall.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.arborhall.com/</a>

America's Packard Museum - I don't know if they could do 300 though

    Good luck!

  • The Center in downtown allows you to bring in your own catering. You can't bring in your own alcohol but when I had my event their alcohol pricing was very cheap, by the bottle or case of beer vs. a per person price. They also refunded any alcohol that was on their stock list and wasn't used at the end of the night. I got a decent refund after the event. Not often you get money back afterwards. They can hold over 300.

  • Thanks so much! Just from looking at the Lake Lyndsay website, I fell in love...I've contacted them for more information :)

  • H.J. Benken Florist & Garden Center. We are having our reception there. Their covered patio holds up to 300 people and you get to bring all your own vendors except you must use them for your flowers since that's their main business. It's a little different than a reception hall if that is what you are looking for!
  • I know Mulhauser Barn in Fairfield allows your own caterer and at least beer. I am not sure how many people it can accomodate though.
