Cancelled my Bachelorette Party?

So, I asked my MOH to cancel my bachelorette party.

My family recently suffered a loss - 4 of my family members (my aunt, uncle, and their children/my 2 young cousins) all passed away suddenly and tragically. My date that had been set for my bachelorette was March 9th and that would have been my cousin who passed's 12th birthday. So, it probably will not be a very good day as it is. But along with a multitude of other crap that has happened with the bach. party. I just decided to end it.
There has been alot of drama along with the bachelorette party between my girls, that my bridesmaids and MOH felt the need to call constantly to bitch about eachother and involve me. It pretty much just came down to the fact that I honestly just didnt want the stress of it anymore, and I think its pretty sad that somehow my best friends and family were throwing me a party and it turned into huge stress for me.

I dunno, am I out of line for wanting to cancel a month away? Are my reasons valid? Or should I just suck it up and attend it?

I am so very sorry for your loss. That is completely valid. You just lost a part of your family and you don't want to have to go through all the stress worrying about pleasing everyone during this tough time.

Plus the day would be hard seeing as it was supposed to be on of their b-days.

There's nothing saying you have to have a bachelorette party and you are certainly entitled to take time to grieve as you wish and to take a deep breath.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I think it's completely valid for you to cancel the party. Your MOH/Maids shouldn't have been involving you in the drama either.

It makes sense & if anyone gives you grief tell them to F off. Seriously. You are grieving & will not be in the mood to party, especially with all the drama. If any of the drama llamas phone to complain about one another anymore tell them you have enough to deal with right now & they are adults, they should act like adults, they can deal with it themselves & you will not be involved anymore, than hang up the phone to let it sink in. Sorry for your loss.

I am so, so sorry for your loss. Your reasons for you wanting to cancel the bach party are super reasonable and understandable. They shouldn't be involving you in any drama to begin with, and they should understand that you need time to grieve.

I am so sorry for your loss, what a horrible time for your family, I will keep you in my thoughts. Perfectly acceptable to cancel the party, and if anyone has issue with that, they can suck it.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. It's completely understandable and acceptable that you cancelled the bachelorette party. I'm sorry that your bridesmaids were being jerks, too. They should not have involved you in the bachelorette party drama, especially during such a difficult time for you.
