I need some books to take with me for the LOOOONG flight to Hawaii!!! Recommend your favorite books!!

I enjoy James Patterson books, chick lit, anything interesting and mindless so I don't have to think about anything to intently :)

    I'm a big fan of Sophie Kinsella/Madeleine Wickham.  The Shopahlic series has enough to keep you busy for a while!

    Also, Emily Giffen's Something Borrowed (and the sequel, Something Blue) is a good pairing (have read the books more than once, haven't seen the movie!)

    This! Also love the Chelsea Handler books - I laughed so hard I had the hiccups multiple times while reading them.

    If you like mystery/science, the Bones books (what the TV show is based on) by Kathy Reichs are awesome. I also like Sarah Vowell's history books and Bill Bryson's travel books - really fun and easy to read, if you're into nonfiction!

    I love all of Emily Giffin's books and I read alot of Elin Hilderbrand's books.  They are quick reads, good stories, chick books for sure.  Elin's books all take place on Nantucket so they have that beachy feel for sure! The Lovely Bones was a great book too.  Jodi Piccoult has some good books but she writes about heavy things, better for winter days when you aren't on your way to paradise! haha

    Read The Hunger Games! It sounds SO STRANGE but you will get hooked! It's really good and such a fast read!!! 

    Other Good Books: 
    -The Art of Racing in the Rain 
    -Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Series - also a fast addicting read! 
    -The Red Tent 
    - Jodi Picoult books - esp The Pact 

    I heard good things about the Bride Quartet by Nora Roberts but I haven't read it yet

    I'm currently reading The Help by Karyn Stockett.  The movie's coming out in August and looks good, so I wanted to read the book first!

    If you like Chick lit, then definitely check out stuff by Jane Green and Jennifer Weiner.  Both are great beach/flight reads!

    I vote for all of these as well.

    I also like Marian Keyes and Jane Green (chick lit).
    I'm reading the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series right now, and it is addicting..and call me a dork, but I like the Harry Potter series too :)
