I've been MIA! but check and need opinions :)

hi girls!

I've been super busy with work so I haven't posted or commented lately. :(
BUT I did book Marz for my makeup and tomorrow I'm leaving the paperwork and deposit at the church! So I feel like I'm slowly getting out of planning limbo lol.

So as for the opinions I need, I met with one of the photogs that my venue package includes (the other guy's pictures weren't my style) and he was really nice and obviously loves what he does. I liked his style and attention to detail. I'd have to pay for upgrades which after I calculated would come out to about at least $1500 if I get extra hrs, nicer book, engagement session, etc so its not 100% included.

My other thing is when I see pictures in person they always look good to me so I should I meet with other photographers to have a comparison? Is this a good deal? What would you girls do? The photographer is Marcio Cavalcanti by the way.

Suggestions?

    $1500 is a pretty decent price ... but how many hours are you getting? will you get all the photos on discs or just some? how many is he going to touch up?
    In my opinion it never hurts to compare, but if you liked his style, the pics looked nice, and you were comfortable with him .. then go for it.

    I agree with Ana. What all will that $1500 include? But it seems like a great deal. My package includes 10 hours of coverage, CD with all our photos, two photog's, a nice high quality album and a photo booth with props for $2450.00. So if you are getting about the same or more, than your getting a sweet deal. But if you are second guessing him then you should look and see what other photog's have to offer.

    He includes 5 hrs so in the $1500 ate 3 extra hours. He gives me all the pictures on a disc but in low res. Good question about touch ups I forgot to ask!! I think I want to compare too so at least I feel secure about my choice. Thanks!!

    Your photographs are one of the most important parts of your wedding that someday you will share with your children.  I would definitely look at a few more photographers and see their style and what is included.  My bestfriend highly recommends Simply Captivating.  Another one that does beautiful work is Candidly Elegant (he is a former Columbus explorer.) HTH and good luck!

    I agree that it wouldn't hurt to ask around and compare. If your add ons are 1500, see what your venue would discount if you don't use one of their photographers, that would probably give you more money if you go with someone else? Did that make sense?


    I am meeting with 1313blog next week and I love their work!


    I would also like to know who CMP is using for photography bc that package does sound amazing lol

    Hi Giannina! Missed everyone too lol! I definitely am going to look around. They will give me $3 off per person (so $150 around there) is what I'd "save." Photos are my number one right now though so I think if I fall in love with someone else I'll suck it up! I LOVE 1313 too!!! Let us know how the mtng goes :) Thanks for the help! Xo
