Re: Evening Thread

  • Oh yeah and update for those here last night sock bun curls were an epic fail for the 2nd time. I didn't even take a photo because it was just a big wave curl and looked stupid. I pulled it into a ponytail and with the humidity level today the curl was gone by like 9am anyway. I also realized that my hair is almost down to the small of my back. This ish needs a trim.

  • I don't think the sock bun would work for me either, I just have a feeling.

  • It's bed time here too.

    Good night ladies!

  • I need to get my hair trimmed, too. Keep putting it off.

  • I think it's just one of those pinterest myths that look way easier than they really are.

[QUOTE]Yay I am happy you got them done angel! Can't wait to see them! Modding for photos is super tiring. Poses that look natural in a picture can actually be super awkward to hold for a long time. <strong>My bpics had some poses where I was like how the eff do I look sexy right now, this feels ridiculous!</strong>

  • I feel tired, but I'm too bummed to want to sleep. And I bought ice cream.
  • G'night Nicki.

There is no point in putting a sock under my bun. I have enough hair for a nice looking bun as it is. My hair is about 3" past my waist as it is now.

I really want some ice cream, but I'd have to drive about 45 miles round trip to get some. I don't think it's worth that.

That is the downside of living in the middle of no where.

<div>A sock bun is for making curls, not actually for leaving it in a bun.</div>

Really? The blog I saw was for making a nicer bun!

I don't really need to curl help, either. I have those as well. Most days I look like I stuck my finger in a light socket if I leave my hair down in this weather, so it's always either in a bun or a french braid. Humidity and long curly hair is not an attractive combo.

Hot rollers will do my hair some favors, but it's not worth the time sink to me to do that. I'd rather sleep.

  • Haha yeah I def dont need a sock to just make a bun, I have a crap ton of hair. I am also a slight master at bunnery from all my years of ballet. My hair still seems to go up into the shape with little trouble at all. With that, I'm out. Good night!

There's a Just Save and a Lowe's 10 miles in either direction, both close at 9pm, though.

I'd have to go into the city and go to Walmart this time of night if I want something, and that's 25 miles to one city and 19 to the other smaller city.

I am.. or I will be in a minute. I just got home so I'm going to get ready for bed real quick.

  • Mmm, I'm considering getting into bed soon. Not sleeping, just getting in bed.
  • Poke, why are you bummed? Are you missing H? I apologize if you mentioned it earlier in the thread.
    imageWedding Countdown Ticker
  • Nah, H and I just had a fight. Nothing huge or anything, just minor stuff, but he went to bed angry which left me feeling crappy.

But I have more of those frozen Daily cocktails and now I'm popping some popcorn. I decided I was more in the mood for that than for ice cream.
  • I hate fights and I especially hate when FI goes to bed angry, which is more often than not. I'm the type who likes to make up before we end the night, he likes to cool off and talk the next day. I hope you guys make up in the morning.

I could go for one of those Daily's cocktails... anything frozen would probably soothe my throat right now. It's been hurting for 4 days, I hope it's not strep. I have some minor cold symptoms too, so hopefully it's just that. It's just rare for a sore throat to last this long for me.

  • It's hard when you're not physically together to solve disagreements over the phone.

I agree... I hate having arguments over the phone.

  • I used to get strep throat every year when I was younger. It was funny because the doctor told me that if I got it again he would have to consider getting my tonsils removed. I didn't get it again after that.

And I'm sure everything will be fine tomorrow. There has only been one time in the 7 years we've been together that we've had a "fight" last for more than a few hours, and that was because he did something that royally pissed me off - so I was the one that remained angry.

We try not to, but sometimes things come up that can't wait on him to come home. :( I wish the job market would pick up so he could find a job where he's home more.

<div>I prefer over the phone than typing through skype - which is his preference. Because he's better at it than I am. He types much faster (which is saying something) and when I'm angry I get flustered and it's harder for me to type coherently. </div>

I got strep often and my doc did a really long course of antibiotics and I haven't had it since.

In 5 years we've had a few arguments, but not many. And, those were justified. Mostly due to me doing stupid stuff. I had a lot of growing up to do when we met. I think I might be an adult now. Maybe. LOL

    DH doesn't Skype. Ever.

But, he only goes along the eastern seaboard, so we don't have the overseas issue you guys have. Most of the time he's in VA/NC/SC, sometimes he's in OH/PA/GA/FL, though.
