Just found out today I won a contest sponsored by a local wedding planning company for free wedding day hair for me and my bridesmaids! Very exciting.. It includes a bridal trial, so I'm hoping that goes well and I'm happy with the stylists.. I'm going out on a limb in a way here, because I had my stylist set and was gonna book her but then won this contest. So I'm excited, but apprehensive.. Lol

    That's awesome!! I'm always nervous about stuff like that, but at least you get a trial. If they suck, you can always say "NO THANKS!" haha.

    You could always google the stylist/company for reviews, and check the BBB as well.  I'd be freakin STOKED if I won something like that!  I hope it turns out to be completely awesome!

    Congrats!! Do the trial ASAP and see if you are happy with their work.  Maybe doing only the bm's hair is another option...

    Congratulations. I agree you should do the trial right away so if you don't like their work you can book your own stylist instead.

    Thanks girls!! It's from a well known local salon so I'm not worried about them being a scam or anything more just hoping I like the work they do because I am VERY picky when it comes to this. I'm sure if I didn't like it I could probably just fill my spot with anyone else who wants their hair done that day and just have the original girl do my hair and makeup, as she is coming to do my makeup anyway.

    I won a contest for a Macy's giftcard from TK a few months ago...it was awesome!!!  I'm waiting for Black Friday to use it for attendants' and parents' gifts :)  Congrats Ally!

    That's awesome! Congrats! Agreed to do a trial as soon as you can to ensure you like them. If they are local and have a great rep, sounds like they should do well. If you are very particular with what you want, do you already have ideas? Are you good about voicing exactly what you want? If so, then you should be good. Hopefully it works out tho - you can't beat free! :)
