I have a stainless steel waterbottle I love. I used it for years in the islands. My problem is I do not like our tap water. I tried from Sept until early Dec to like it and while I did drink it, it was never as much as I really needed.
So now I buy a 2.5 gallon bottled water and fill it up from there. I figure it's better than buying all those smaller bottles.
** I tried brita and another brand, it just never cut if for me.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Green onions. Why are they used as garnishes all the time? They taste bad, have a weird texture, are nearly impossible to remove and show up unannounced.

I completely and totally agree with that. Even Noodle has mentioned me getting a weave before. That sucks. They didn't really explain it like that so it was kind of confusing. I find it an interesting subject because my uncle (white) married a black woman but they met and got married in Africa so I don't think the same American cultural ccomponents were there.
I'm slowly eating onions. I've hated them in all forms for the majority of my life. Lately, I've been able to eat them in soups or similar things, but they must be softened and clear. Green onions--no. I just can't.
Steph, my niece eats onions like apples. If we take her out to dinner, she collects onions from everyone's salads. At one restaurant, she asked if she could have rings of raw onion instead of fries with her kids meal.
Steph I'll admit to being one of the knotties that thought you were black when I was a newb lol.
This is a p&r because I'm on my phone and gotta leave now but I am still interested to hear more!
One of H's exes is black. When we first started dating, he kept asking if he could touch my hair. I thought it was weird. He finally admitted that he wasn't allowed to touch his xGF's hair.
Has anyone seen the documentary Good Hair? It was pretty good and explained lots of stuff I wondered about, but would never ask.
