Back-Drop Ideas

I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on how to create something like this:

But, on a budget. The beam to floor is 13 ft.

Any help would be wonderful.

Thanks so much,

Ashley

You'd need scaffolding and a whole lot of material. If you have access to a sewing machine, you could probably sew a pocket for the scaffolding with little to no experience. Just fold over the top with a gap big enough for the scaffolding and sew a straight line all the way down. You'll also need uplighting for that glowing effect.

[QUOTE]Do you need it, or just want it? Can you check into rentals? Remember that this is likely a one-use item, unless you can do something with the fabric after the wedding. If money is an issue, it might not be the best option for you in the end.

Are you trying to cover something?

We did trees that were also transported to the reception site.

  • Thanks for the ideas... I am trying to cover up the tables that have to be pre-set for the reception. My ceremony is being held in the same room.
  • My best suggestion for a similar look on a budget would be to run fishing twine along the length of the beam and drape gossamer across it. It won't look nearly as lush, and could take a fast nose-dive into promland if you aren't careful, but it could look nice. White christmas lights between the layers instead of uplighting would be cute, but also are dangerously close to the promland border.
