What's your cute factor number?

I've been feeling like a solid 4 1/2 lately(I know) I think this is my lowest number ever. So, I'm getting my hair cute today to try and bump myself up to a 6. Ha.

What number would you give yourself?

*hey, y'all aren't talking about anything*

Re: What's your cute factor number?

  • Out of ten?   Probably about 6 today because my skin is clear, but I've been averaging about 2.   My acne has been horrible lately and it is NOT cute.
  • I'd say normally I'm a solid 7-8, maybe 9.  ;)  I am not humble and I'm very vain.

    True. Story.

  • Ever since I got my hair cut and colored last week, I think I look so.much.better.  My natural hair color is so blah and not good for me.

If I've showered, done my hair and makeup and gotten dressed to go out in public, I think I'm a 6 or so.  I've still got some work to do.  :)
  • On an average day? 4 or 5.

The other night when I did my make-up (with an ah-mazing smoky eye...I was seriously so proud of my eye make up) and hair blown out and behaving?  Probably about 7-7.5.

I need a hair cut and eyebrow wax.  I'm contemplating one next week, along with a pedicure.
  • Flo, my skin is revolting too, and I'm so over it. I'm almost 40, yo. When is this suppose to stop.

O, good for you. I'm not hatin on vain.:)

today - my outfit is pretty cute, my shoes are super cute, my makeup is nice, but i probably look like a zombie overall. 3
  • Re: skin.  NO IDEA.  I think it's actually worse now that I'm off the bcp.  But I'll still take it.  Most people would say I have nice skin, but I'm overly critical. And I'm a face picker, so that doesn't help.

This is how bad it is. I'm about to spend $125 to get a darn haircut. I only go to this chick for cuts, but she's sooooooo good.

    image
  • $125 for just a cut?  Wowza.  I get color and cut for $107.  And I'm so cheap I only go every 14-16 weeks now.  And my hair looks like a mop.  I fancy myself a grown out lioness.
    image
  • I'm feeling good about my hair, and this is after I got it done at Ulta, which was NOT cheap.

Depends on what I am wearing. I am very outfit-centric these days. I guess I am at about a five today.

  • I've gained 10 pounds this year and it is ALL in my face.  I'm a 1.2 only because I'm in a good place in my cycle of acne.  Next week I'll drop into negative numbers.

  • Girl, don't even bring it up. She services the she she poo poo crowd, but she's really good. I only go to her twice a year, and my regular guy gives me trims.

I think we're only paying for the downtown loft place, myself.

  • *gets ready to slap zsa*  I think you're vastly underestimating yourself, my dear.  Snap out of it!  And yes, this is my version of a pep talk.

Nola, that is crazy.  But, BUT if you love what it does for you, no amount of money (reasonable) would deter that.  It's worth it for what it does for your psyche.  :)

  • LADIES! This is a *terrible* conversation.

We are all fabulous, and I am giving everyone a 10.

    END OF REPLIES.

THANK you, Bmom.  I hate when people underrate themselves.

  • BM, you are right, but no one feels like a 10 all the time.

Sorry, to suck y'all into my funk.

    image
  • zsa - you are the cutest f*cking thing I have seen in my life. Stop it right now.
    image
  • Whatever, I am not a 10 today. Feeling more like a 3. This job wears me out sometimes and it's showing today.
  • 7-8.

Although I've been going through a weird personal thing.  IDK what it is or the basis for it.  I'm starting to really look...different to myself.  I've had people ask me "what are you" before (I've gotten everything from Hawaiian to Eurasian), but it's starting to happen a lot now.  I think as I'm aging, losing weight and having long straight hair for the first time in a really long time, I'm starting to actually look Indian.  My mom even commented on it the other week when I was around her.  She, for the first time, had the "hiding your heritage" conversation with me.

Y'all, I am not handling aging gracefully.  I do not like being 35.  I can't wrap my head around it.  And don't get me started on my skin.  I feel like I'm the only 35 year old woman buying the Clinique Acne line.  And if I have to explain to one more woman at that storefront that I DO have to buy it and it doesn't look like I do, b/c I USE the acne line, I'm going to kill them.

This has to be the funniest thing I have ever heard. I literally shot Juice out of my nose. Please we all know you were hit buy the ugly stick multiple times.

You go dress shopping or should I say curtain shopping in busted flip flops. There is nothing cute about you. The fact that a fat slob like you will say that you are a 7, after women that you know are better looking than you on their worst day is hilarious.

You are fat, ugly and tacky.
  • ^ is that the new "anonniemouse"?
  • V, I'm not having an aging issue, but I am starting to see changes in my body. Fo sho.

There is a part of me that can't believe I will be 39 in a few weeks. 3-to-the 9, which means I will be 40 next year.

Really? I know 40 isn't old, but my 20's and 30's are gone. Like, where did the time go.

Like, the first half of my life is over.  The first 40 years are done. Now, I'm getting ready to start the last half of my 40 years of life. It's a weird place to be in.

But, I'm looking forward to it. It is true, you don't put up with the bs at this stage of life, and that's great for someone that put up with a lot of bs.

  • I think that's what I'm struggling with, NOLA.  I feel like time is speeding up and slipping through my fingers.  And it's not making me sad, so much as I'm like, NOOOO, I've still got all this stuff I want to do!!!!!  I dont feel old necessarily, just time flying by.

Example:  I recommended a friend for an opening here.  They asked me how long I knew her and I said, Oh since college.  And then I realized I graduated as un undergraduate in 2001.  College was 11 years ago and it still seems like it was yesterday, y'know?  I have lots of friends from college still and that means I've known some of them for close to fifteen years now.  That seems crazy to me.
  • I guess someone is trying to make Friday interesting.  Please try again in a different way.

  • I'd say a 2 maybe.  I've gained a lot of weight (about 20 lbs) so I'm really unhappy with my body. I need to get back to the gym! blah!!!
