spray tan horror!

so I went and got a spray tan today since my wedding is on Saturday, and it was looking awesome....until....I stupidly cleaned the shower a few hours later and water got on my arms and ankles, ruining the tan!! I look streaky and blotchy now!!! Luckily my face was spared, but I called Naomi's salon in a frantic to see what to do.  I have to go in tomorrow so they can respray my arms and legs.  I'm so scared it'll still look blotchy.  Not to mention, I'm getting a mani/pedi tomorrow afternoon, and I'm not sure what to do about putting my feet in a tub after getting resprayed. Sorry this is so long, I'm exhausted and this wedding is killing me!!

I am sure it will all work out!

You should be fine for the pedi!

I know nothing about spray tans...but could you arrange it so you can get your pedi first...then go in for a respray?

    It will all work out!

Yipes! I'm sorry! Hopefully the salon can fix it, I'm sure they've done it before :0)

Good luck! I googled it and it says that you should stay away from water for at least 8 hours.

no water for 8 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  #1 rule of spray tanning!!!!!  make sure your mani/pedi is at least 8 hours after your re-spray.

maybe exfoliating can smooth out any blotchiness/unevenness...

This is one reason why I just decided to go pale on my wedding day. I didn't want to mess with spray tans or self-tanners of any kind.

I've had this happen before...if you go to Sephora they have a ton of body bronzers.  I used LORAC and it worked wonders.  If you have time and have a Sephora near you maybe one of the consulatants there would be able to offer assistance or a recommendation.

there is a sephora in west farms mall which is near west hartford and naomi's salon if you  needed to get bronzer etc.

i would get pedi before too, or go tonight

I would try to get the mani/pedi before the spray tan even if you are going 8 hours after getting sprayed.  They usually scrub your hands, arms, feet, and legs during a mani/pedi and all that exfoliating will basically slough the skins cells that were sprayed right off!

<div>excellent point!!!  if you end up not being able to schedule your mani/pedi before your re-spray, do not let them scrub you at all!!!  </div>

Thanks ladies, I went back and got re-sprayed on the trouble spots and it's all fixed.  I could only go first thing this morning, so the pedi will be this afternoon, but I'm just going to have them paint the nails, no soaking.  Too bad, but that's what I get for not thinking!
