Mornin!

Re: Mornin!

• Morning.

Today should be awesome. One of the big bosses is taking our entire division to the Reds game at 12:30 today, they also came around and gave each one of us $25 for drinks and food while at the game. We get paid for it, too. Woot Woot.

Last night we went out to check out our friends new farm, and it's beautiful. We walked forever and really got the baby moving around so that was cool. I'm going back out this weekend to pick some blackberries and hopefully make some jam this weekend.

Blue, I thought about you while I was driving home from work last night. I was on the freeway going about 75 and this biiitch cut me off...she had an Obama bumper sticker, vanity plates that said KING BAMA, and was driving a friggin Subaru Outback. I know you can appreciate the amount of restraint it took for me not to ram her off the road.

Oh and AATB, a gift for you.

• Morning ladies!

One more day, one more day! I have a pedicure appt.Saturday day morning, I know H is mad I'm going without him, oh well he left me all week.

• Good morning, ladies.

I have class all day to learn our new general ledger/property/project costing software.  Everyone is upset they're making us switch to their system - it's a step back 10 years in technology.  We had a demo yesterday, and it's practically DOS-based.  I hope I can stay awake, since I've been awake since 2:30 (damn insomnia)

Ugh! Sorry Les, I'm taking an online course as we speak. I hate that I have to do these, when it doesnt really pertain to me.

Of course!! What girl doesn't grow up dreaming about keeping her dog free of fleas! I feel so blessed to finally be able to do this.
• I did two mandatory online courses this week too, kd.  They were awful - someone reading all the powerpoint slides, and there was no option to turn off the audio and just read through it myself.  I fell asleep a couple of times, and wasted 2.5 hours.

• Hey all, lurker here. :-) I'm off today which means I will either sit here on the couch in my jammies all day and surf the internet OR I will tackle my thank you's/organize gifts from my shower this past weekend/other productive things. I'm thinking it might be the former.

• Glad the madlibs rocked, nebb! They are hilarious.

Today's been super busy. BUT the awesome news is that I got my edits in for a book I'm re-releasing this year (my very first one that's now out of print) so I'm super excited to get this going. Makes up for a crappy yesterday for sure.
• I had a total freakout meltdown last night including an ugly cry.  I went to hit some goflballs with H to try out my new club and I lost my great-grandmother's engagement ring.  I felt like the worst great-granddaughter/granddaughter in the world.  It sucked.  We found it in the car.  I had taken it off so I wouldn't lose it.  I thought I had put it in my pocket.  I had put it in my purse instead.  So, I got myself all worked up over nothing.  Then, I was congested the  rest of the night.  Dummy.

Nebb-  Congrats on your presentation.  I'm glad you were able to kick some butt and show the witch that you've got the goods!

I have to listen to 1.50 hrs of crap regarding selling gift cards. I only buy cards for our promotions and its paid by my P-card I have through work. I'm not allowed to sell to customers, we have a contracted company that runs our guest services. And of course all of this is about selling to customers.

But, its tied to my employee number and I have to go through the website to take it, and it shows when I've finished it.

Pretty lame day, I think, other than Peanut got her "daddy" a gift certificate for a massage.  I know he'll like it, he's been complaining about his back hurting.  Is your fubaby buying anything for "daddy"?
• Morning! I woke up with a nasty headache so I decided to not go in today. I think I am starting to clench my jaw in my sleep again. I used to do it in college when I was stressed, but I have no idea why now, I don't feel like I have a particularly stressful life.

Nebb, no joke I think I laugh every time I see your GD ticker, it is so ridiculous.

BK- I am glad you found it! I would have been upset too. And I hate being congested after crying, sometimes it is enough to make me actually stop crying because I don't want to deal with it when I am sleeping.
• Glad you found it, BK.  I would be in all-out panic.

• Nebb, she was just jealous that you're more awesome than her. I'm probably the bitchiest person in my office and even I die laughing during madlibs.

Father's Day, I will be on the road to NC with my mom and stepdad. I mailed my dad a card so he should get it by Sunday. My brother was supposed to spend the day with him but he has truck problems and might not even be able to make it down for the wedding Saturday, which would really suck. My stepdad is going to coach him through the repair by phone so we'll see how it goes.

He better make it. One, I never get to see him. Two, I have some stuff to give my dad (including the awesome movie John Carter) and he was supposed to deliver it for me.
• I'm getting DH one of those leaf sucker/mulcher things.  We are volunteering at the soup kitchen Sunday morning, then we'll probably grill something in the afternoon.  DH's children probably won't call him.

My dad is visiting on sunday and we are taking him for dinner in niagara on the lake. I still need to get him a card and pick up a card for my friends AHR next weekend. I've never honestly thought of getting adam a card from vin, but I could. I call adam his "pupa", like papa lol
• I don't think we have anything planned for fathers day, just another weekend for us. H refuses to be referred to as Finley's dad, and instead wants to be called his owner. So I make sure drop in a bunch of  "daddy's" when talking to the dog just to annoy him.

EFF YES!!! I just hit 1300 pinterest followers!!! For something so arbitrary, it sure excites me
• Les, that sucks. I'd be shocked if my stepdad's kids called him, let alone send a card.  But of course, they will be outraged if he doesn't call on their birthdays or get them something for Christmas.

Kate, my H refused at first too. He still doesn't refer to himself as Whisky's dad but he doesn't complain anymore when I do. But I still annoy him at night when I tell him to tell Whisky good-night. So after he does, I say, "Now tell him you love him." Then I get the death stare. But it's so much fun to mess with him so I do it anyway.
In Response to Re:Mornin!: Interesting. My PCP prescribed Nexium because she thought it was acid reflux. I didn't really take it because my symptoms appear to be mainly lower GI. I hear you on how everything seems to bother you. Its awful. Sometimes I can eat bland as can be but still have issues. Oh well, I'm sure it will get figured out sooner or later.
Posted by lbarr088
I totally thought the same thing but when I remember to stay on my nexium- the lower GI stuff clears up too. I think it definitely helps- it's not a cure but it helps.

Your H's kids are AHoles, seriously.

We dont do anything for Father's day, because both of our fathers have been gone for years now.

And he's one of those, "you're not my mother guys", so in turn "he's not my dad".

So we leave it at that. His daughter I'm sure will want to Skype.

I am this far now but omg Bk - I would have totally had an ugly cry and puked everywhere if the same thing happened to me.  I wear one of my great grandmother's diamond rings every day and it makes me ill to think of losing it.

My mom has my great-grandmother's wedding band and it's soldered to her great-great grandmother's wedding band - it's BITCHIN.  The great ring is three little diamonds between four orange roses and the great great ring is just a thick gold band - but they are both so old that the golds are such a different color.  So pretty.  I want it.  Anyway she thought she lost the ring once on an airplane.  She remembered taking it off when she put on some lotion on the plane and then when she got home it wasn't on her finger.  She looked everywhere in her purse and carry on and even the car, called the airline, all that stuff.  She was having a meltdown.  Guess where it turned up?  In her pocket.

Bk, glad you found the ring.  I would have been all out panic mode too <strong> I have a ring box that I carry with me and that's where it goes when we play so I always know right where it is.

• My dad visited a few weeks ago and he really enjoyed these truffle fries at my friend's restaurant. I immediately ordered him truffle oil and truffle salt as an early Father's Day gift. He can be hard to shop for so I wanted to get them sent before he bought his own. I sent him a  card on Sunday since he lives out of state and I won't see him until the 4th.

There's a health policy lecture I really want to go to here at noon but I have so much to do. I am not sure if I should take the mental break and go see something I find interesting or if I should just keep trudging through my backlog of work.
