Good morning!

Happy Tuesday.

I'm at work, I stopped for Dunkin Donuts today so I'm happily drinking my latte :)

All the supervisors/boss will be out of the office today so hopefully I can play clean up and get my desk organized and some papers filed.

How you doin?

Re: Good morning!

  • Good Morning!

It is again gorgeous out, so I headed out to the market early and came home to...DH having a half day of work.

While I'm glad to have him here, he has thrown the todo list completely off track. He is currently in "GO" mode and well, my day has a certain rhythm to it. "GO" doesn't happen for another two hours for me.

  • Good morning! It's beautiful and warm here after thunder storms last night. Other than that, nothing much going on here!

I LOVE the air and the smells after a good hard rain.

My Godmother has a house in Key Largo and, growing up, we'd spend almost every weekend there. FL is notorious for afternoon showers, so we'd have to come inside during the storms, but it's was SO gorgeous right after the rain.

^ Wow, that was really cheesy.
  • Good Morning. We had wicked thunderstorms last night, but it made for awesome sleeping weather.

I have a busy day at work today, lots to get done.......probably because I had no motivation to accomplish much last week.

  • I was just coming to start this. I think you have a monopoly on creating the good morning thread.

It is supposed to be 85 today and 90 tomorrow. Though with everyone always talking about how nice it is, I have to say that I saw a funny status on FB last night. It said, "John Smith is already tired of hearing people talk about the weather...do you not realize that the seasons happen every year?" It made me laugh.

It's the perk of being the only idiot awake before the damn sun. Hahaha. Really though, on most days I'm at the office before 7 AM.

  • Yeah LTB I was surprised to hear that on the radio. No spring for us, straight to summer I guess! I just looked at weather.com though, and it says only 82 as a high for tomorrow.

    Kate, I am incredibly jealous!

Good morning! My boss is out of the office until Thursday, and besides a meeting this morning at 9:15, I have nothing really going on. Probably will try to straighten my desk and get a few things done that otherwise would fall by the wayside if people were actually here. I love the week after Easter.

[QUOTE]Good morning! I'm still a bit shaken up after my experience at Dunkin Donuts this morning. I have to cross over two lanes of traffic to get into the parking lot. No cars are coming, so I start to go across. Then as soon as I'm in the middle of both lanes, this SUV on the shoulder starts backing up heading into the lanes. She almost hits me, I beep and stop, blocking traffic and she keeps on backing up until she's in front of the entrance and stops, so I pull forward to go past her since I'm the one holding up two lanes of traffic now and she starts to pull forward and almost hits me again. All in less than 30 seconds this damn woman almost hits me twice in her pursuit for coffee! I was planning on going out for lunch today but I think I'm just going to stay in now. The amount of crazy people on the roads is amazing.

Man, I'm sorry. That is a SUPER sucky way to start the morning. Living in central FL and so close to Disney, we encounter these special people on a regular basis. Usually they're driving on the highway going 70 mph though. Fun times.

Sure is. Although I will never forget the summer when I was an intern for the Secret Service, we were at Andrews AFB doing a send-off for the President and it was THE hottest day of the entire summer. I was wearing a full black suit, standing on a black tarmac, in 105 degrees, for at least an hour. Toasty.

  • Good morning ladies! I really enjoy the week after Easter as well with a lot of people being out of the office. Much less stressful and I can catch up on things.

I think we're booking our honeymoon tonight so I'm excited about that :) Otherwise just another day at sucky work...

Completely unrelated, but Taryn is precious. She has the cutest expressions! :)
  • Awoke to thunderstorms and it smells like worms outside. Other than that, back to work, children back to school after spring break (so some tired grumpiness this morn). Hope y'all have good days!
  • Psh, winter. With the exception of this year, it's more like "winter". :D

  • I wish we would get some rain here, this darn pine pollen is killing me. Never knew what the heck it was 'til I moved south...lol cause we don't have it in the north.

Well, our dream honeymoon is an overwater bungalow in Tahiti, but that was about triple our budget so we're going where every other August honeymooning couple is going...Mexico! Specifically, most likely Riviera Maya.

Kate - unless it's 75 degrees, it's too cold for me.

TR - Yeah, Tahiti is one of those places we would love to go to, but probably never will. Riviera Maya should be a good HM, though!

Considering we're moving into the in-laws house (with them mostly not there) for 4 months before the wedding, getting away from everything and everyone for a week anywhere will be glorious.

And I have to ditto the Taryn love, she is precious! :)

  • Good morning!

We're both off today (with the exception of a one-hour conf. call for me later), so we're heading to the restaurant where our reception will be held to get measurements for the room, take pictures, etc. so we can start planning decor.

After that I have no idea what we're doing! FI usually wants a full plan for the day. I like to play by ear.

  • Good morning, ladies!

Originally living in MI, I enjoy that it's already warm here. I know I'll regret that statement in a few weeks or months but I hate it when it's June in MI and still 50 degrees.

  • Morning...

It's been unseasonably hot here all winter. Which is NOT a good thing. The water tempature never got below 82 degrees. That means possible coral bleaching. Also hurricanes love warm water.

We also need some rain.. It's only rained once in the last 6 weeks. The islands look brown and everyone is complaining they might have to buy water (we collect rain water for showers, toilets, cooking, laundry, etc).

I'm started a 'new' exercise routine today. I'm going to walk to work. It's about 2+ miles away. Not only will it help me lose weight, I save on gas by not driving to work for both DH and I. I walked home yesterday and felt really good about it, so I thought I should start doing it more often.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Yeah, we went back and forth on whether or not we wanted to take a "real" honeymoon (rather than just go to a local beach for a couple days) but in the end decided that there will likely never be a good time for us (with our probable career paths and earning potential) to take a $3,000 vacation so we might as well do it while we have a good excuse.

  • Brie, I feel you on the state allergies. Anytime I go to the doctor and they ask me what I'm allergic to, I say, sulfa, Claritin, and the entire state of Iowa, apparently (and it appears I can add prednisone to that list too).

I've gone from the daily migraine routine to stopped up sinuses or something. Life is grand, especially since I only take 2 meds for headaches, so they have to be killing me. Otherwise, it's heat therapy.

    I DREAD cottonwood season.

Other than that, it's a good day- I'm working on a re-eval in pharm, another test, and a super long handout to go into pdf format. None of which are due tomorrow. Coworker is out today, so no family drama calls, and I can listen to my iPod all day.
