My venue charges 5 per chair for gold chiavari and 7 for silver. we originally chose the gold...our colors are white, red, and grey (use 2B black). The BM are wearing silver shoes my dress is white and silver. GM tux are grey, the centerpieces are going to be red and silver with a few crystals. My sis said we should change the chairs to silver but that would mean 700 for Chairs! Do you think it would look bad with the gold chairs?

[QUOTE]Thanks but they are $6 per chair not including delivery. Is there anything I can do to make the gold work? We haven't bought any of the items for the centerpieces yet I just bookmarked where to buy them and the ladies havn't bought there shoes, my shoes are red. I really still think silver is the best choice too b/c I don't really like gold...Fi does tho. If I could go back in time I would soooo just have it at the church and have a big party at the park lol

<div>Does it have to be Chiavari chairs? Are there any other types of chairs that would work. </div>

The Defoor Centre....and they include any color linen as long as its not a specialty linen. I was so happy because I really wanted Navy table linen and didn't have to be stuck with a standard Black or White.

<div>what's the color of your linens? </div>
I don't think you need to change the chairs. The real determination is the linen color.

You can do the gold chairs with a white linen and the pop of red centerpiece....the silver won't show too much. I would spend the money on a nice textured shimmer/organza type overlay. And add the red sash to the chair.
I would also do the napkins, and chair cushion in white to soften the gold of the chairs. What other decor ideas are you thinking uplighting, chargers etc? Taht will all tie in to the cohesiveness of the look. I personally wouldn't spend the extra money on the silver chairs.
eta: peach, these folk are in area code 404 and have chavaris listed on their webpage for $5.95 per, including cushion and silver.

eta again: never mind, i just saw that this is the same place as the link ro gave you. $600 including cushion is pretty good tho.
1. Your venue is GORGEOUS!
and
2. Believe me, I understand about obsessing over chairs. I realllllly wanted silver chiavari chairs because I love the overall look and because I don't like the standard cotton chair covers. I was having a hard time justifying the extra $1000 for them, however, so my venue coordinator came up with an alternative spandex chair cover that satisfied me (somewhat) and the budget. Guess what! The day of the wedding, I didn't even NOTICE the chairs, mainly because people were sitting in them by the time I saw the room, but also because everything else looked so fabulous. Seriously. What I did notice was the centerpieces and table settings. I still love the way the chiavari chairs look and would certainly have chosen them if I had the money, but on the grand scheme of things to stress over, I regret that chair choices (and table runners - that was my other stressor) gave me any fever. lol So I said all that to say, my vote is silver IF you can stomach the cost. Otherwise, MsAmeera25's advice is on point (she is a wise detail guru!). Whatever you decide will be beautiful!
[QUOTE]@ rowenac82 they have the plan banquet chairs for $2 and $4 for covers. The linens are white with red napkins. Any other color on the table would be another charge <strong>@ MrsSmith2Be02 yes SH is really beautiful especially when you add in all the extra cost lol. When I went I was like wow this is nice "I WANT IT" lol...then he gave me the price sheet for each thing from lights to chairs. I was going to do Defoor cause it was the first place Fi and I went to look at and he actually liked it, but I could never get a response from them. I called, emailed, left messages and after two weeks I just gave up.</strong>

OH NO! :( Yea, I happened to go to an Open House before we chose the venue with my cousin and she loved it so much and the cost was so awesome....Response time can be a bit lagging, but their service once you talk to them is great. I'm using DIYuplighting.com (10 lights for $190). Also, if the centerpieces are there, they will set up whatever u need....already added factor in the cost!
