Weight Watcher update

Hey everyone, a month ago, I stated that I was starting WW. Well, a month later, I have lost over 7 pounds and am now able to run 3 miles in 30 minutes. It is AMAZING! I feel so much better about myself and yesterday I received a sticker for losing 5% of my body weight. If anyone is interested in joining but didn't know if it worked, I highly encourage you to join. DH loves it too.

Oh and since I lost enough weight, I lost another eating point. As in, I have to eat 50 calories less today! Eek!

Re: Weight Watcher update

  • Wow, that's awesome!  I've been thinking about it for a while now.  I'll have to go check it out.

  • You rock, stina! Keep up the hard work. And the running thing? Ah-mazing. You should be so, so, so proud.

  • We seriously almost gave up today. I was huffing so hard and my mind kept telling me, "you know, you could just walk the 5K because you're already in shape." DH kept telling me to keep going. Then there were times when he was huffing and practically whimpering as he ran. So he asked ME for encouragement. So we really bounced off each other.

  • Awesome!  I am trying to keep my motivation up for my challenge, I want to at least lose some.  We should all challenge and motivate eachother.

I started WW in October before I even got engaged.  I have since lost 34 lbs.  WW really does work.  I am 1 lb away from my goal weight.

AWesome! That is great for you! You guys must be so proud!
  • We might have to try that.  DH is always talking about how he wants to lose weight, and I was a bit depressed today to find that I had to buy slacks in size 12 in order to breathe.  I'm also in terrible shape, so I'd love to have better endurance and not get winded by a couple of flights of stairs.

    Congrats, stina!  You're kicking ass!

  • Aerin, what's best about WW IMO is that I don't feel like it's a diet. You can eat whatever you want, just in moderation.

  • I  Planned on Joining WW this week but had some second thoughts. Glad I read your Post. I'm excited to join Smile
  • Yes, please join Danielle. I don't regret it for one second. I am not a big person, but before I joined I thought that I was supposed to be what my starting weight was. I thought that my weight gain was a part of life and that being married just meant that you were supposed to get fatter.

I have a totally different perspective on life and eating. I don't feel like I have to struggle and HAVE to eat a ton to be satisfied.

  • I've been trying to reduce my portions anyway, because I always feel bloated and gross when I eat way too much.  And since we ate our way through Vegas, I probably have some ground to make up.  (It was worth it, though.  Mmmm...)
