Winter wedding flowers?

I'm getting married next December and I should probably go see the florist in the next couple of months, so I wanted to get some ideas/opinions.  Our colors are white, light blue, and silver.  So far, I really like the baby's breath only centerpieces.  I think they look very soft and snowy, but I'm scared they'll look cheap.  I'm not a big fan of branches/trees, so does anyone have any other ideas for wintery centerpieces?  Also, for the bouquets... I have no idea.  I personally don't want my bouquet to be all white, but I have no clue what flowers they would use with the colors I picked.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • I personally love baby's breath, it's elegant yet inexpensive. I think it's perfect for winter.

I'd search the Knot's bouquet or floral pictures, also google "white and blue bouquet pictures" for some ideas. You could have all white flowers and insert non-floral silver accents like curly willow sprayed silver (or blue), baby's breath could be spray painted with floral paint. You could also find silver or blue "Christmas picks" at a craft store around the holidays to add to an all white bouquet. They don't have to be "Christmas-y".

  • I think hydrangeas would be beautiful, as would dusty miller silver leaves. Baby's breath would be cool as an arrangement I think it's unique!
  • Friends mixed white roses, another white flower, blue spruce sprigs and silvered walnuts on picks for a winter wedding.  She DIY'd the centerpieces.  Her color scheme was also white, blue and silver.

    <div>That sounds really pretty!</div><div>
</div><div>There's a few bouquets the link listed below that would be pretty alternatives from an all white bouquet. Primarily the 1st one talked about, the "monochromatic bouquet" and the further down the page, the "winter bouquet". And if you like succulent bouquets, those always look really neat too. </div><div>

</div><div>I totally agree with the hydrangeas and dusty miller! Hydrangeas come in a light blue tint as well. You could also do eucalyptus silver dollars. White roses, white oriental lilies, or calla lilies would work really well too. </div><div>
</div><div>I don't like baby's breath in bouquets, but as centerpieces, I think they would be great for a winter theme because they look like fluffy snow. I think they look cool submerged as well. </div><div><img src="http://bios.weddingbee.com/pics/97532/Babys_Breath_Candle_Centerpieces.jpg" alt="Inspiration Centerpieces : wedding flowers green ivory reception white Babys Breath Candle Centerpieces" />
