Wedding invite - what do you think?

I love the wording on this invite, but one of my friends said the intro language isn't appropriate for a Catholic wedding...  (with no real reason or background other than "it isn't")

It is on a tri-fold and the first part says:
God has a plan for us all as we travel down life's winding road...  Asking for His guidance until the day He allows our paths to meet making each sunset brighter and each flower more fragrant.

second part:
Believing in His word and growing in our faith it is our time to join hands in God's love and begin our lives together

third part:
The language about nuptial Mass, etc.

What do you ladies think?  The wording is just very "us" and so unique, but I don't want anything that wouldn't be appropriate.

It is found online at:

The last wedding invitation like that that I received, I wasn't quite sure what I weas bein invited to!

    Sorry
  • Even though the third panal had the traditional "Mr. and Mrs. X request the honor of your presence at the marriage of A to B in the sacrament of holy matrimony"

    What isn't clear about that?

I was more worried about the friend who told me the intro part "wasn't Catholic"
  • I think it's very nice, and I don't see how it would be inappropriate at all.  I think if it clearly states Nuptial Mass/Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on it, there should be no confusion that people are being invited to a wedding.
  • I like it. Our wording wasn't very "traditional" for a Catholic ceremony either, but we loved it and went with it. Go with the wording you love and feels represents the commitment you're making to eachother.
