Good evening ladies! I am in desperate need of some ideas regarding the bridal party entrance to the reception. I've never liked being the center of attention but I can deal with it for the ceremony, pictures, etc. However, the whole idea of the grand entrance and introduction feels a little weird to me for several reasons. 1) we're having a small wedding- 65 people max. 2) our ceremony/ reception is at the same venue. 3) we are doing pictures before the ceremony begins and we will be joining our guests at cocktail hour. It just seems funny to be mingling with guests, eating, having drinks, and then doing this whole huge entrance.
Does/has anyone know of anybody that has done something a little different? We were thinking of possibly starting the reception with an opening song to set the tone of the party (something upbeat and fun) and then move right into our first dance and having the DJ announce us onto the floor as the new Mr. & Mrs. ____.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
