Decoration help

My fiance and I were reviewing the contract for our venue, and discovered one well hidden senctence about balloons not being allowed. I need a cheap easy decoration idea for the inside of our venue! No candles either. Our wedding is in three weeks and I have no clue what to do.

I would use ribbon and tulle, fairly inexpensive way to decorate.  Tell us more about your venue.

It is the American Legion Hall in Everett. Pretty much the entire inside is all dark wood, walls, floors  and ceiling. Its pretty on its own, but I want our colors to be a little more present than just on the tables.

    Could you hang lights?

Here's a website a lot of Knotties have used:  http://www.save-on-crafts.com/brbryearroun.html

Streamers?? I am new to the whole wedding planning thing so I don't know exactly how cheesy this could be... its a possibility at my wedding as well since no balloons are allowed at my venue either...

What about some silk draping?  You can use that to frame spaces, hide things, etc.  It's not super cheap, but it may also be something you could make on your own if you found fabric that you liked?

Or what about hanging photos off wire?  Or having them on stands?

Paper lanterns always look nice, and I've seen people do some neat things with Christmas lights as well, so maybe use those?

Wedding Pom Poms are an awesome DIY decoration http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/article/pom-poms-and-luminarias
Or you can buy kits that are easier.  There are a ton oon the internet...try etsy.  thye look similar to balloons too!

Or what about round chinese lanterns?  try Oriental trading Co.

    Good luck!
