Hump Day!

Re: Hump Day!

  • Thanks cfas, that song is now stuck in my head.
  • I heard "you oughta know" on the radio the other day and man is she angry. I never picked up on that when I listened to jagged little pill on repeat back in middle school. I'm sure my parents were thrilled with my taste in music.

  • That was a great album Anna - nothing wrong with your taste in music :)

My dad was NOT cool with JLP.  I used to blast "You Oughta Know" in my room and turn the volume down on the word "fuuck".  Like he couldn't figure out what she was saying, ha ha.  I do remember him asking me why, why, why couldn't I listen to good music like Queen or the Beatles or anything decent.

  • Rach, I thought the point of your supper club was to swap recipes?

I hate going out to dinner with large groups. It's always a clusterfuck by the end of the night.

  • One of the girls here just quit with no notice.  FANTASTIC.  I love it when people do that.

Rachers, over the weekend I had to go to a restaurant with some friends but didn't feel like wasting money on the expensive prices so I just had before we left. No one seemed to care. Actually, I think a few people did that. I don't know why anyone even wanted to go there in the first place.

  • Yeah, ditto the vote for just getting an appetizer.  And one of those awesome margaritas.  I love margaritas.

  • Mother eff.  It's always so fun when people leave and you find out they've been doing absolutely nothing right.  Or just nothing at all.

  • Adamar - at least they won't hang around the next two weeks doing more stuff wrong..
  • Morning. I tried the Chobani Champions yogurt this morning. It's their kids version. It's smaller and is banana and honey flavored. I like the texture way more than any of the Chobani stuff I've had.
  • When I started eating Chobani (greek yogurt in general) I ate it parfait style with granola and sometimes fresh fruit for a few weeks before I started just eating it straight.  In the beginning the thicker texture got to me too.
  • They are updating my apartment. Yesterday they put in new laminate wood floors, today is new lighting, kitchen hardware and kitchen appliances.  My poor kitty is in hiding. He hates strangers.  I can't even really get him to come out for kitty treats.

  • I love Greek yogurt, but I prefer Fage over Chobani. Unfortunately, our grocery store keeps moving the Fage. Sometimes it's in the dairy section, sometimes it's in the health food section. Sometimes the shelves are empty. Every regular Chobani I've everhad had separated and looks disgusting. The Champions look more like Fage.
  • TK ate my post. I love greek yogurt, but prefer Fage. My grocery store keeps moving it and running out of it, so I've tried Chobani. Every one I've had has separated and looks gross. The Champions look more like Fage.

That's great they are doing that!

Poor kitty, my kitty will be the same way when I take her to FI's this weekend.

  • I tried the Chobani lemon yogurt, and it was disgusting.  I couldn't get past the texture.  I stick to Fage and just add in whatever I want.  Lately I've been using it to make ranch dip and it's freaking delicious.

  • Morning ladies.  Happy B-day Anna.

Today is another day of sending out resumes.

It's Navy Week here this week.   If it gets nice out I might go down to the river to see the Tall Ships.  Tonight we have a reception on a naval ship.  I have no idea what to wear.  Attire is business.   It's also pretty breezy on land I imagine it will be cooler on the river.  I feel like such fashion dork.

DH vent,   DH was talking to a guy about the zoo and then mentions we are going to a black tie affair there.  Umm, we are?   Then he says "oh yeah.  I forgot to tell you.  It's on May 4".  Great.   Oh and we are going to Drew Bress' charity event  at the House of Blues on May 12.  You would think he would know I need a little notice on such events.

  • Morning everyone! I tried hot yoga for the first time last night. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Very sore today though.
  • Ugh, that's annoying Lynda.  Hopefully you're able to find something to wear in time.

  • And on the yogurt front, I just had a Yoplait Whips, Chocolatte Mouse style. It was an awkward texture. Anyone tried these? Im wondering if all the "whips" have that texture or is it just because I had a choc mouse one.

  • Lynda, so many parties for you.  Hope you are enjoying it other than the stresses of what to wear.  Are you enjoying your time off as you look for a new job?  Chef D probably loves having you around all the time.

Yeah I am not sure who will look after our cats while we are on our Honeymoon, FI's roommate was going but she will be not be there over the summer now that she's not taking summer classes.

Awww bless his heart! Hopefully they won't be much longer.
