**Julie**

Hi!

Just saw you're posting - thought I'd tell you that I drove past the house just to see the sold sign lol. It was exciting to see!

What's new with you? How's the planning coming?

I must have stopped posting last night before I saw this.  Isn't that very exciting to see the SOLD sign?  Are they going to let you keep that swan statue on the front porch?  LOL

Wedding planning, hmmm....haven't done anything in like 6 or 8 weeks.  Oops.  I am going to Florida next Wednesday for 6 days -- my cousin is getting married the day after you.  When I get back, it will be less that 5 months til my wedding and I am going to hit the ground running.  First, I need to set up an appointment with my hall to figure out timing, details, etc.  Then I can start on invitations which will hopefully inspire me to do other DIY projects like table numbers, favors, etc etc etc.

I really hope they leave the statue behind - I love how they dress it up. LOL!

The 7-5 month out time was when I really stopped doing a lot. Its a weird limbo where you're too far out to do some things but have all the big things booked. But a vacation to Florida sounds fabulous!

    Everything else going smoothly?

That's how I feel.  I've booked all the vendors and made the big decisions.  But it's still too far out to start on the details.  If I had to have the wedding tomorrow, I've have all the vital things -- DJ, photographer, location, etc etc etc.  I want to do some DIY so I feel like I should at least start now so I don't get overwhelmed right before the wedding.

I am very excited for FL.  I am going without Andy and my sister is going without her husband -- both because FI doesn't have the vacation time and also because my sister and I are taggling along in my parents hotel room so we don't have to pay for much besides our flights.  :-)  My sister lives in Phoenix so I am excited to see her, as well as the rest of my family, and some beach time.

Everything else is going well.  We are getting ready to do a few things around the house this spring.  My mom is buying me a new storm door for my birthday so I am unusually excited about that (our current storm door is HIDEOUS).  FILs offered to help us out with landscaping and pay for it as a wedding/shower gift.  So the combination of those should make our house have more "curb appeal" -- something we are seriously lacking right now.

How are you feeling with the wedding so close?  Stressed?  Overwhelmed?  I would imagine by now that you probably have a lot of the stuff done so there isn't much to do.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your honeymoon works out!!

That's great you guys can go solo for some great sisterly bonding time!  I love that you're bunking up with the parents - it makes life so much easier. Plus it'll be nice to see just your sister so you guys can catch up. Plus laying on a beach isn't a bad way to spend a few days lol.

There's nothing wrong with getting excited about the storm door. FI obsesses over doors - when we looked at houses he would judge the ones with doors he didn't like. According to him the door makes the house lol. I bet you'll see a vast improvement plus new landscaping will be really nice.

I am actually doing well wedding wise - most everything is done, just little details now. We have been really fortunate that everything has gone quite well other than possibly having to cancel our honeymoon. I think I have reached a point where I am just excited to be married and I don't care about the little things.

We have everything paid off except the reception - just waiting on those pesky last guests and we had our last meeting with the Priest this weekend and that was our last 'vendor' meeting. My to do list is surprisingly short lol.  The 1-2 month time was much more stressful. It helps (?) that I've been focused a lot on school and houses so I never was able to get wedding obsessed. But now with those other things pretty much done, only planning the wedding seems easy lol.

Well it seems that everything is falling into place, finally (minus the honeymoon snafu).  Wedding is almost here and its good that you got over that not being excited about the actual wedding phase and now you are excited to just be married and celebrate.  And you found a house, woo hoo.  And classes are almost done for the semester, right?  Exams this week and next?  Are you taking spring/summer classes?

I meant to ask you -- did your bridesmaids pick out their dresses?  I saw somewhere you said that two girls got the same dress from David's Bridal.  How about the others?  Did everyone find something they liked?

I'm only taking one class this semester - and my final is next week thank god. I'll be taking one class in the summer but that doesn't start until July so I'll have a good 2 month break. Its needed.

2 girls went to David's but bought different dresses, the other two got their dresses at different places too. Basically all four are not only wearing a completely different dress, but also different shades of green.

They all seem really happy with the dresses despite being 'nervous' at first about wearing different dresses. I think they were confused by my lack of concern, and even my encouragement. I just think its so ingrained in our minds that the bridesmaids MUST match it took a bit for them to accept I really didn't care lol. I'm pretty excited to see how it all looks together. I don't even know what the flower girls are wearing - I just know they found them dresses.
