[QUOTE]Aw, Les, that sucks about your garden. Can you re-plant? Golf is serious business, yo. Oh, and this woman's husband is the dillweed that I got behind last year who wouldn't let me play through. Most likely b/c I have a uterus and tits. When I didn't quit at the turn, he and his buddies graciously allowed me to play with them. ::insert huge fuucking eyeroll here:: Oh, and my H is job hunting. He was searching postings and came across one for TK and sent me the link. Ha, ha.

I hope you outdrove them at least once and out putt them a lot.

• YGPM back, bk.

Looking back on it, when I worked at a golf course it was mainly men. I can't remember any regs being women. Now I'm wondering if that's because I mostly worked weekends.

Well the men are nuts too, I'm so glad H hates golf. And the reason a man takes hours on end to play is because they talk sh!t and drink all day. This is just an excuse to leave the house ;)

good morning.

TGIF! I'm looking forward to the weekend. We have a big party to go to tomorrow, no doubt it'll be an all day/night event. Then Sunday I think we're planning to go swimming...I'm dreading trying on my swim suit tonight, I'm sure it's inevitable that I'll be purchasing a new one.

Les, make sure you have someone come out and check your roof. Often hail damage is done, but won't cause problem for a year or two. At that point it's very easy for insurance to dispute paying for the new one, and if it starts to leak, it could cause a lot of damage inside your house. We had a bad hail storm last May, and 93% of the houses in my town had damage to their roofs and had to have them replaced.

ETA: and for the next year or so, check your tires often. With all the roofing going on, roofing nails will be everywhere. I seriously do not know anyone who hasn't had to replace at least one tire since the big bad storm.

Morning all. I'm getting ready to head out for the first leg of a busy weekend. Driving to south NJ to visit my grandpa for the afternoon, then on to Philly for the evening to see "Beauty and the Beast" (the national tour) with my brother. The woman playing Belle tonight is a friend of mine, and I'm so excited for that!

The weather has been so crazy. I almost never see a rainbow, and there have been double rainbows the last three days!

• Cute shirt, Dmills! (and cute bump!)

I'm still crossing fingers for a good hail storm to come our way. I'd love to have insurance pay for a new roof. (Siding too, but I doubt hail will do anything to our pressed-wood crap.)
• Aww Dmill- you look so cute!

• Lookin good, DMom!!

I just got a new roof 2 years ago due to hail damage. I'm going to have it checked out, but I really don't want another insurance claim so soon after the last one.

• DMill - Nice bump!

Sesh- Back atcha.

I was kind of hoping for big hail at our house because we desperately need a new roof, but my car doesn't fit in the garage and I didn't want it to get hit, so I guess my wish for my car to not get hurt outweighed the wish for my roof to DIE!

• I will confess I was pretty stoked to get a new roof on the insurance company.

• Steph- did you have any other symptoms other than your ears bothering you that led you to believe it was a sinus infection? My left ear is bothering me but I feel perfectly fine otherwise.

• thanks :)

Yeah, the hail damage is kind of good, but still kind of sucks, too. Last year, we had to replace the windows, roof, gutters, shutters, and the siding stuff that goes behind the gutters (the rest of our house is brick) and all three of our cars had damage because we had the friggin 4-wheelers in the garage. Our insurance claim was over $25k by the time it was all said and done. But our house looks really good and we're not out the money for the upgrades.

My ears hurt for about 3 weeks before I went in. Tons of sinus pressure and headaches too. And a weird tooth/jaw pain. Basically my whole face hurt.
• Hmm, maybe I just have some water or something in there then.
imageVacation
• Mine ended up being a sinus infection though. Apparently my ears were 'fine' and likely just sore from the drainage... even though my nose hasn't been stuffed up at all. Odd.

[QUOTE]If it's just water in there, you can get OTC drying drops at the drugstore, Brandi. I swam in HS and got swimmer's ear all the time. It's annoying and eventually pretty painful if you can't get the water out.

I'll probably run and get some. It isn't constant pain, but when I do get some, it is a sharp pain. Thank you both!

[QUOTE]Congrats on the permanent position, Sere! Les- I've heard of golf ball size hail, but that is the very first time I have seen a picture of it. I hope your garden recovers. Good morning! I keep finding random things lately. Wednesday I found $5 while waking the dog. Yesterday I found this cute little greeting card on the sidewalk. Today I found an A's basbeball cap, which technically can be considered garbage I guess.

• Good late morning.

The bachleor party (take 2) festivities began last night. 2 of FI's friends drove down and stayed the night here. They all stayed up til 6 AM. I don't know how they are going to make it through the next 2 days. FFIL comes down tonight and another friend tomorrow. Thankfully they are moving the party to a hotel downtown which means I get sleep and time by myself to lay by the pool :)

Right now the forecast for next Saturday is 82 and sunny. Let's hope it stays there!

Sesh I'm happy about your book! Congrats!!

This is the issue I had, sinus drainage, but my ear looked fine.

I was told to make sure I did my Claritin-D during the day and at night saline followed by my Flonase. Plus, H put a air purifier with a allergy filter in the bedroom. Oh and they had to give me ear drops for the pain. It was bad, and of course this was when we were flying to London.

Dmill- Love the bump!

• I'm still catching up on this thread. Good almost afternoon. I just woke up. I have been miserable with nausea, or should I say I've been noshes. I haven't left the couch except for work for over a week. I'm already over being preggly. We are going to dinner with a bunch of friends tonight and I hope I can actually eat.

Of course it is. Fans absolutely influence the way the team plays. When I watch football, if my team is playing well, I can't move for fear of jinxing them.

Sad, I know. :-)

That's the kind of pain I was getting when I had a blockage of wax in my ear about a year ago. It was weird that my throat would be sore because my ears were blocked, but that's what it was. I have teeny-tiny ear canals, so I get buildup pretty easily. They had to irrigate my ears and I had to use drops for a few days, but I was finally able to get them cleaned out.

• Rats! Some animal got into my little forget-me-not flowering pot that the vet had sent after our little cat died. I made the mistake of leaving it out last night. I put it outside during the day so it could get sun and when I got home from work last night, I forgot to bring it in. I think I can salvage some of it. :(

Brandi - if ear(s) is bothering you, have it checked. Maybe it's just wax build-up but as PPs have said, it can lead to other things. Itching in the ears & tickly throat are always my first signs of something sinus related.

Les, that hailball is amazing. H is going to talk to his mom today and see what happened in her part of Denver.
• I meant to be up and out of my house almost 3 hours ago, instead I turned off my alarm and went back to sleep. I guess I was tired. I need to go to DB today and pick up my dress! I also need to find somewhere to store it until I go to a seamstress for alterations. That might be a problem.

This is a busy weekend. Babysitting during synagogue, bridal shower, and graduation party Saturday. Engagement open house on Sunday for a friend of my FI. I'm not used to having plans every weekend. This is weird for me.
