Mehndi Recommendation in Manhattan?

Hi everyone -

I am looking for someone to do my mehndi for my wedding. I am not having a mehndi party - it would just be for me. I am looking for someone to come to my house the day before my wedding to apply it. I have found a few people to do it, but no one Indian. Since it is an Indian tradition, my parents would like someone Indian to do it if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations?

hey .... there is a place called Prefect Shape .... all theie employees are indian, i have been going there for about 6 years now, they have a few girls that apply mehendi ... i'm getting married next year in rhode island so my plan is the have one of the girls come to my home and apply it as well ... not having a party either .... the one that go too is on park ave. between 22 and 23 st ... the best way is the 6 train ... you can try there. http://www.threadingsalon.net/index.htm thats there website ... they have tons of locatiions .... good luck let me know if it works out.
