P. Cana, DR Wedding: Majestic Elegance, Iberostar Grand Bavaro, or other?

I am planning a July 2013 wedding in P. Cana, DR (ceremony on beach, reception not on beach but overlooking the beach). I have only been to the Majestic Elegance resort & loved it! I am looking to either do my wedding there, the Iberostar Grand Bavaro, or another similar resort that is adults-only.

With that said, I'm looking for an all-inclusive resort that has good food, nightly entertainment and things to do during the day besides eat all day!

Has anyone been married at the Majestic Elegance or Iberostar Grand Bavaro? What are your reviews on these places as wedding venues? Any other suggestions as to resorts in P. Cana? We have a $10,000 budget....but the cheaper the better! However, I dont want to sacrifice quality for lower cost. I just cannot go over the $10,000 limit. Any suggestions? Please help!!!

I haven't been to either resort, but I am getting married at an Iberostar in jamaica after having an amazing experience with an iberostar in Mexico for my sisters wedding. They are a great chain with really good service! O and welcome to the board! I can't wait to hear more about your plans!

Hi I'm Pam. Im an old knottie that got married in Dreams Resort & Spa in PC on June 25, 2011. I truly had an amazing wedding. It was everything I wanted and the resort is fabulous! The entertainment is awesome they have nightly activities every night and during the day too. The food the drink the people were all short of amazing. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I'm getting married in Puntaa Cana, DR in June, but not at any of those resorts. While I was researcing I heard GREAT things about Magestic, but I don't know anything about the others.

I chose to go with Melia Caribe, but it's not an adult only resort. We arent' getting married on the resort though because we wanted something on the beach but more private. BUT we originally chose Melia because we wanted to get married int he beach gazebo. It's BEAUTIFUL! It's overlooking the beach an ocean but not in the sand. you might want to check it out if you haven't yet.

I am in a very similar position. My fiance and I had originally wanted to go with Sanctuary Cap Cana but after hearing mixed reviews about the property now that it isnt owned by Secrets anymore then getting our guest room quotes we decided against them. Currently we are trying to decide between Iberostar Grand, Majestic or Excellence and cannot seem to find anything to sway us in one direction. From my own research (Trip Advisor & bestdestinationwedding.com) I've found that Iberostar Grand has different properties which can allow for different price-pointed guests. Iberostar also ranks high on Trip Advisor however Majestic ranks #3 on the wedding forums. My dilemma is accomodating the price point of guests as well as finding a location that will make for a fun-filled week with many attractions. I'm beginning to feel that I can't really go wrong with either of three but I am seriously considering a 5 day vacation to check out the three locations.
