Gift Ideas - We're at a loss

FI is kind of at a loss of what to get his GM and so am I.  We've done some searches but aren't sold on one particular thing yet.

What did your FI's/H's get their GM?  Or has your FI/H received a GM gift in the past that he LOVED?  My FI has never been in a wedding so he is having a really hard time figuring out what to do.

We did Ugg slippers & Swiss Army golf knives for each our GM -- all of them have told us numerous times that the slippers were their best gift ever for being in a wedding!

My hubby also has gotten a nice pair of sunglasses that he wears all the time and a watch as gifts from friends.

we got them something that would reflect their personalities. one of fi's gms is really into beer, so he got a few bottles of unique beer and a matching glass. his other gm loves comics so he got him a gift certificate to a comic book store

The GM all really like beer, so FI is taking them to go brew their own beer and have a nice lunch and some other man stuff.  We're looking for something small to give them at the RD in addition to that.

We're doing different things depending on the guy. One guy is getting UGG slippers, another a Coach toiletry bag (good deal at outlet!), a Burberry tie for one. A nice bottle of alcohol (Patron, good vodka) and cigars is another good option.

We got them all a beer brew kit and a GC.

We haven't purchased any GM gifts yet but he is getting them an engraved beer stein and a one or two month subscription to a beer of the month club (a 12 pack of beer from microbreweries from around the US is delievered to their doorstep once a month), and he was going to do one other little thing, but not sure yet!

Some cool ideas here, I'm going to check out the beer of the month thing.

FI has been a GM a bunch of times and once he got cufflinks made from parts of fenway park seats I think - he's a HUGE red sox fan so he was SO impressed. I imagine these are pretty expensive.

We don't have any GM in our wedding, so I can't help much, but FI was a bridesman in a wedding like 4 or 5 years ago and got a nice leather laptop bag/briefcase  that had his initials embossed on it (under the flap, so it's not really obvious/obnoxious).  He still uses it almost everyday and LOVES it (unfortunately the bag outlasted the marriage).

We're still working on the rest of their gifts, but one thing I know FI is getting for his guys are these cufflinks I found on Etsy - http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=43161894 - each personalized according to the recipient's favorite beer!

They're not exactly the type of crowd that wears cufflinks too often (or, um..at all, besides one another's weddings), but hopefully this will be a cute reminder of our wedding when they do have the need. :)

EKobrenski , where are they going to brew their own beer? That is a great idea.

My husband bought different things for all 3 guys.  He bought his BM a really nice cigar humidor.  One of the other GM got a personalized LL Bean rolling duffle, because he travels a lot and the other GM got a watch case.

Those are all great ideas. The only thing I would recommend not doing is flasks. We have like 5 in our house that have never been used. In fact, the people who lived in our house before us left one too.

FI and I walked in a Vineyard Vines store the other day and discovered they have a huge collection of team-inspired ties (they have like 4 or 5 options for Boston fans... 2-3 Red Sox prints, Pats, etc.)  They also have lots of college teams, too.  (Duke, for FI).

The ties have classy, tight prints (nothing hokey and big like a huge sports logo), but for men who are dedicated to their teams... I thought this would be a way to give a single cohesive gift to everyone while still making it a little personalized for each GM.

we got all of the groomsmen really nice money clips from zales with inlaid carbon fiber.  we then had them engraved with each of the guys' initials.  we got his best man a watch as well.

    ...hello out there!
