Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I'm a psych grad student, but I'm searching for a 'real' job too at the moment.

Hobbies: I like nerdy stuff (D&D, etc.), cooking, and watching TV. I'm also trying to learn how to make shoes, but I suck so far.

Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I'm a certified teacher and taught last year, but seeing as how I live in MIchigan I got laid off and didn't get called back. So, for now I am working in the city assessor's office and answer phones and work with customers most of the day. It pays well and is fairly interesting so I won't complain. It beats a lot of other things I could do while waiting for a teaching job to come along. . .

EDIT (6/4/2012): FH and I have moved to Maryland (just outside of DC) and I am back on the hunt for a teaching position. This summer, I'll be throwing all of my energy into job hunting and settling in to our new home. We move in on July 2, I can't wait!

Edit (11/27/2012): I got a teaching job at a small priviate school in DC just before school started. I teach Middle School Reading and Computers for the whole building (k-8). I love it here and am so happy to be teaching again!

Hobbies: Baking, crafting, decroating my house, and learning all of the cool tricks my Silhouette Cameo can do. (I'm going to be using that thing MAJOR when I start DIYing stuff for the wedding. :])

Pets (Pics preferred!): Walker - a 3 year old Shih-Tzu my FH and adopted from a resue more than a year ago. Yes, his left eye is missing - he was born in a puppy mill and lived there tfor 14 months before he was finally rescued. When they took him to the vet to be evaluated they discovered that his eye was ulcerated so badly it could not be saved. He does just fine without it and gets quite a lot of attention in public.

Favorite Food: Anything sweet. I have a MAJOR sweet tooth and am almost always craving candy. This is going to be an issue as I try to slim down for the big day.

How you met your FI: Match.com - my best friend, and bridesmaid, signed me up for the accont after I had gone through what I thought was a rough breakup. A few months later I got an e-mail from my FH and we clicked immedately. We talked online and on the phone for three months before meeting in person and we've been inseprable ever since.

Anything else you want to share?: FH and I are in the process of not only planning and paying for our own wedding but trying to sell our house and moving from Michigan to Maryland. Our lives seem VERY hectic right now, and we both love taking the time to sit down and talk about wedding details and how we are going to get as much of us into our day as possible.

Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I nanny an 11 month old girl during the weekdays, then evenings and weekends I work at a barn helping to train some horses, and I also volunteer at an animal shelter, and intern at an equine (horse) veterinarian.

Hobbies: Riding horses! playing with my dog, reading, and SLEEPING! i do in fact count that as a hobby

Pets (Pics preferred!): I have a 12 year old Mastiff/German Shepard mix named Jake! We just celebrated his birthday on the 8th

He's the love of my life, and my fiance gets a little jealous sometimes! I have pics but they aren't sending from my phone right now...

How you met your FI: He and I were cast as husband and wife in Footloose in 9th grade. I was dating another boy, but after spending so much time together, he won me over

Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I work for a local convenience store, in the marketing, training and human resources departments. I started as a secret shopper in marketing, but now I'm filling in for a woman going on maternity leave in human resources, and am being trained to be the administrative assistant for the training department so the original person can take on a new position.

Hobbies: I like to knit, read, and cook, mostly. And hang out with FI!

Pets (Pics preferred!): No pets yet! FI and I are going to get a border collie puppy once we buy a house, but for now, we both just love on his parents' golden retriever, Maddie!

Favorite Food: Cheese! I love cheese!

How you met your FI: We started talking online then met in person in April 2006 when I invited him to come to a dance on my college campus with me. He came back a couple days later and took me on our first official date. He just kept coming back, so I decided to keep him!

Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I work as a teller at a bank, I also own my own business sewing/crafting. FI owns a LARP so we spend a lot of time working on that and going to other chapters for PR.

Hobbies: LARP, cosplay, and hanging out with my dog (which will hopefully include sledding & canicross in the near future)

Pets (Pics preferred!): This is Anya, she's my 2-yr-old spoiled brat. FI wants an Akita so look forward to puppy pictures probably later on this summer.

I, love the idea of Pinterest but hate that Pinterest requires a FB/twitter login because despite me removing every option that has to do with FB from my Pinterest page I still have people magically following me who I have NO interest in sharing anything WR with (especially since we opted for an intimate wedding). I finally made a personal twitter that I haven't shared yet, so maybe I'll just have to delete my pins from the FB one and recreate them on twitter instead.

How you met your FI: In early high school he was starting a band with a friend I was in jr high with and we met at the park near my house. We liked eachother and of course being freshman/sophomores we were to chicken to do anything. We dated others, and remained friends and ended up going on a date later in high school!

Anything else you want to share?: I have way to much done for my wedding in ... 527 days. At least there will be (barely) less chaos as the day comes closer!

Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in interior design last year, and am currently working as a CAD (Computer Assisted Drafting) technician for my university.

Hobbies: anything crafty and/or outdoorsy. I sew, scrapbook, paint and draw. I love disc-golf with my FH, and camping with friends. I also am from the Oregon Coast, so I try to spend as much time as I can near the ocean.

Anything else you want to share?: I like this board and heart the African-American Wedding board; I lurk the others. Me and FI have been long distance the whole time. It's getting harder to not cry being we part. I try everyday to be Christ-like; it's a lifestyle for FI and I. So my values and comments on TK reflect that. We don't watch too much TV (we prefer movies), but I am a big HOUSE fan and sad it just ended. But I haven't seen season 1 or 2, so I have a summer's worth of TV!

How you met your FI: On eHarmony. I WAS a single mom working full time, had no time for dating. The only people I met was from work, been there done it wouldn't recommend it. We talked online/phone for 2 months before our 'first meeting date'. It was slow going at first but slow and steady always wins the race... or so the saying goes.

Anything else you want to share?: I have a wonderful 4 year old daughter that is the light of my life. She is involved in the wedding just as much as my FI and I are.

Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I currently work as a Home Health Aide, in school to become a Radiology Tech. Hopefully in another 2-3 years I'll be finished!

Hobbies: I love to be with friends and family! Since it's summer time in Cleveland right now, I spend most of my free time tied to a computer by the pool doing homework for school. Love to be out on our motorcycles with FH. Love to cookout and have bon fires on the weekends. During winter time, it's the same deal but we have game night and host A LOT of dinner parties with a bunch of different themes.

Pets (Pics preferred!): We have 1 cat, named Sas. I rescued her from my parents backyard 2 years ago. Her mother was a stray cat that had a litter of 4 kittens. I rescued Sas, and her sister Boots(All black with white paws.) Boots now lives with a close friend of ours, who's kids wanted a cat. Plus have 2 dogs, a Chichuaha named Reesee, and a white Bischon Shiz Tu mix named Tara. Mine as well be the animal kingdom here. lol.

Favorite Food: Where do I begin? I love deep fried pickels, philly cheesesteaks and cheese. Horrible combo I know. I love to cook and look for new things to try and experiement with.

How you met your FI: Bryan and I actually used to sit by each other in English class my Soph. year of high school. He was that annoying guy who would flick my ear or start whispering crap in my ear and I'd turn around to tell him to shut up and I was the one who ended up getting in trouble for talking. Fast forward 10 years, I ran into a mutual friend at an Indian's game and he had meantioned Bryan's name and when I asked where he's been and what he's been up to, our friend told me to find him on myspace. Bang that's all it took.

Anything else you want to share?: I'm all about find other brides who live close to Cleveland so maybe we could start bouncing ideas off of each other and possibly become friends not just "wedding buddies" What girl doesn't want to expand her circle of friends. We picked up one from an animal hoarder who called herself a "rescue." He had no hair, an infection over his whole body, and his home was a crate stacked on top of another crate in a Florida garage with no a/c. Lots of vets, meds, money, bathing, and love later... he's the one on the top. The other is from a woman that did not want him in her house. He lived his entire life enclosed in her unshaded back yard. He required less medical attention but a lot more training. It was like taming a wild animal! Hours of training, frustration, messes and destroyed belongings later... he's the one on the bottom. She is about 19 years old. I have had her for a year. Turtles are my favorite animal EVER, so when my friends were moving and couldn't take her with them they gave her to me. I renamed her because the name she had previously was a boys name and was given to her under racist circumstances and I am not cool with that. I had a turtle specialist infrom me that she is a girl. Her favorite foods are fish and bananas. She loves running around and especially loves being outside. I someday hope to get her a friend as well.

Hello Everyone my name is Anjee

I work for the Department of Homeland Security, I've been with them for almost 8 years now.

I love to travel, meet new people, read, and shop when I have the free time. Most of my time when I'm not working or doing homework I'm spending time with my 7 year old and 10 month old.

We have a bearded dragon that my son name Gilbert, but for some reason likes to change his name just about every month. LOL!

I love all food, but if I had to choose one it would be seafood. I love it! Could eat it everyday. Shrimp, lobster, crab, oysters, clams you name it.

My FI and I first met 19 years ago when we were in high school. I then moved and we went our separate ways. Four years ago he contacted me through facebook, three years later we had our daughter, and now we're planning our wedding.

I love this site, and look forward to making new friends. I love people!
I'm also excited that I will be graduating in November with my BS in Business Management. It took me awhile to get here, but I will finally be done. I'm so excited. At first I was a little down that I would be graduating at 34, but realized as long as I accomplished this goal for myself it doesn't matter how long it took.
I'm always looking for new places to travel and things to do.
My son picked the month of July for us to get married. He can't stop telling people that! LOL!

Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I'm an IT manager. Basically, I used to be a computer geek and now I manage other computer geeks.

Hobbies: My FI and I have a 2 year old son, so he takes up most of my free time, but I also love to shop and read.

Favorite Food: Cookie dough. I cannot resist cookie dough at all, so I've found it's just best if I don't even have it in the house.

How you met your FI: We originally met back in the mid-90s when I was a MN Vikings cheerleader and he was a cop working the sidelines. 10 years later, we came in contact again, had a son in 2009 and getting married next year.

Anything else you want to share?: I'm excited to be able to share the planning process with others. I feel like I'm bothering my friends, family and coworkers with wedding stuff all of the time, but you will all understand.

How you met your FI: (eek- slightly inapproriate, but I'm gonna go for it): we met when i was 16 & he was 30 at a youth health conference I was attending with my boss. I slipped a note under his door to meet me at the hotubs later that night. Thankfully he wanted nothing to do with me and never showed up or even mentioned the note. Fast forward a few years and he was working at AIU, when my name was given to him to cold call (my teacher made us fill that crap out- I DID NOT want a call from them), and we reconnected! Fast forward about 6 years & one cross-country move later & we are ready to tie the knot!

How you met your FI: Through mutual friends...my girlfriends and I met up with his friends on Saint Patrick's Day 2007 in the city. I definitely had a crush on him right off the bat, we started dating late in the summer, and were pretty inseperable after Valentine's Day. Fast forward to Valentine's Day 2012 and he popped the question :-)

Anything else you want to share?: July 20, 2013 is our date, almost a year away and we can't wait!

How you met your FI: Memorial Day BBQ at his place. One of his co-workers was dating my roommate... he invited her to come and said she could bring a few friends, so she brought me! At the end of the night, he walked me to my car and asked for my number. By the time I got home 30 minutes later, he had already texted me and asked me out on a date for the next night.

Anything else you want to share?: I was born and raised in Hawaii, but have lived in California since 2001. FI is a country boy from Michigan (Lansing area). We have been dating for a little over 3 years. Moved in together after a year. He proposed last Thanksgiving at Disneyland in front of my family (just like I hoped he would) and everyone around us started clapping and taking pictures. It was such an amazing moment and I am so blessed to be spending the rest of my life with him.

Occupation/Job/What-you-do-all-day: I'm an accountant for an internet marketing company, and am lucky enough to work from home! I've been with the company for 7 years now, and wouldn't trade it!

Hobbies: We're working on finishing the basement right now. I love DIY projects!!

How you met your FH: We met on eHarmony almost 3 years ago. He worked nights, and I work at home, so we never would have met otherwise. We went to lunch for our first date, and ended up spending the entire weekend together, and the rest is history!

Anything else you want to share?: LOVE exploring the DIY options for making decorations and favors and whatnot. I've discovered a fantastic website that carries melt and pour soaps, which is what we're going to make and have as our guest favors.
