2 questions about favors

If your guestlist was at 180 and you were going to order boxes for the favors, how many would you actually order? They are $14.99/dozen and I really can't afford to have tons leftover. 180 boxes = 15 cases.....I was thinking of ordering 14? Is 13 pushing it too close?

Other question - we are getting CRUMBS cupcakes to go in the boxes, but the boxes have to have the ribbons tyed around them, the label stuck on them and a butterfly accent glue dotted to the top once it is closed. How far in advance would you get the cupcakes? I'm thinking the day before, but is 2 days before no good? I'm trying to have a non-stressful night before the wedding....

I would say the day before. And, can you wait to see what some of your RSVPs look like to order the boxes? I made the silly mistake of ordering 200 photoframes and I'll probably have at least 40 left over.

I would get 13, if you're missing some  I'm sure you can get something similar at Michaels or AC Moore and no one will notice. Also, I would get the cupcakes the day before, if they sit out for too long they might not taste as fresh.

you should be ok with 13 cases, which assumes about 13% of your guestlist won't come.  I agree with kathy

Maybe gather friends/family the day before to assist you.  At the end of the day your bridesmaids are supposed to be your little helpers too :)

I'm not ordering my favors until I have the vast majority of my RSVPs in.  Do you have time to wait to order?  That would be the most ideal to not order extras.

I would wait until you have a better idea of how many people will actually be coming.

Just a quick question for you....did Crumbs give you a deal for ordering so many cupcakes?  We are doing cupcake favors as well and my fiance wants them from crumbs.

    Thank you!
