Ok ladies, so after much, much deliberation and consideration. FI and I have decided to move our wedding back a year. Due to 1487231671 things we have going on right now, this is the right choice for us.
This being said, I'm starting from sratch. I want a new venue, new theme, new colors. Everything. I haven't purchased anything that was specific to what we were originally doing, and the only money I see us losing is a $500 deposit on the venue.
So please ladies, send me all your venue recs. The only thing I ask is that it be in Dade County.
Thanks!!!
Re: Changing EVERYTHING
I'm getting married in Broward but before I booked my Ft. Lauderdale spot, I visited the Deering Estate in Cutler Bay. http://www.deeringestate.com/
It is one of the most gorgeous venues. There are two historic homes, a courtyard, and you can have your ceremony overlooking the Bay. It is Amazing and if it wasn't so far South I would have booked it. If you do choose it, you have to book early! HTH!
I don't have any venue rec's... but hey look at the bright side, you get to start from scratch. If I could I would add/upgrade/change things! Have fun with it.
Sara, I'm looking between $60 - $100 pp
I am getting married at the Rusty Pelican and I love it. Also, I liked the Doubletree Grand on Key Biscayne.
Let me know if you want more info.
Taylor, thanks for your words. I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only nut job.
You girls have made me feel so much better. I was almost in tears today thinking about this.
I know I'll def. find the house we want and have the wedding of my dreams now. It was def. the right choice to make
You made a great decision! You don't want to be house poor. Or go into debt because of your wedding. If this is the best way to get both without sacrificing one for the other, then all the better! GL!! =D
