My shower was on Saturday and it was awesome! I'd only been to 1 other shower in my life and it was much more casual so I had no idea what to expect. Around 30 people were there (I think 40 were invited) which was a great turnout for this weekend!
When everyone got there they had to write down a piece of advice for my marriage on an index card and my BM's read them out loud during the shower; some were really sweet and some were really funny. My favorite was probably: Practice saying the phrase, 'What? This old thing?'
Then we had lunch (it was yummy Italian food) and then opened presents. There was a little game during the present opening too. I was really overwhelmed by all the gifts. We got so much stuff off our registry and people were far more generous than I ever expected. It was so sweet! Not looking forward to the thank you notes though...
That's me; terrible iphone picture, but whatever. And note to self: don't wear Bare Minerals makeup as I look so shiny in the photos!
Wearing the bow/ribbon hat that was fashioned for me. I now have a ribbon bouquet to use at the rehearsal too. :-)
