Sandals vs. Couples Resorts Poll

Which would you recommend and which hotel? Also, should I book through their website or a travel agent like AAA?

    Didn't vote because I would like to know the same thing. Sandals would be my first choice because it just looks so much nicer! However, I have HEARD that unless you stay in a butler suite, you are treated as second class. Plus, all of their excursions/activities are VERY expensive!

    Couples on the other hand is less expensive but still seems to offer very nice things. So I am anxious to see what everyone else says.

    Couples includes alot of excursions in their all inclusive package, they include things like snorkeling, boat tours, scuba diving, trips to local waterfalls, all kinds of great things!!

    I didn't vote either.  I highly recommend Secrets and checking tripadvisor.com for specific resorts after we HMed at Secrets Maroma Beach.

    Another AI suggestion I've had good experience with is Iberostar resorts; just stay in the "Grand" hotel (resorts are made of several different hotels), which is AI and Adult only.

    Anytime I've booked an AI, we've done so through a TA, but lots of ladies on here book themselves without any issues.
