Wedding Woes

The Show

1) When H told his students we were going to see Foo Fighters, exactly none of them had ever heard of the band. He asked them if they had ever heard of Nirvana and they knew of Kurt Cobain, but knew nothing of the music.

2) I am too old to be doing this on a work night. I do not feel well. Also, H and I were probably some of the youngest attendees at the show. There were people with CANES! And oh, the meth heads.

3) The show itself was a typical Foo show. Awesome. Our seats were pretty good. We started asking people who had wrist bands how they got floor seats and some chicks got theirs off of Craig's List.

4) Motorhead was disappointing. Neil Diamond is a more lively performer than any of them.

5) We had a good time but I wish H had let me sleep on the car ride home. Or that we had just stayed the night. I am in no position to be doing any actual work. Blerg.

I am shocked that college students haven't heard of Foo Fighters.

i enjoyed the neil diamond show because i felt young and alive.  it's easy when the person next to you asks if their oxygen tank is getting in your way.

Yes, hmo. And all of the wheel chairs and the person behind me yelling at me to sit down.

6 - I had so much fun. Every show he asks people if they have ever been to a Foo Fighter concert before. Last time, about half the stadium had been to a show before. This time, EVERYONE was screaming. Dave said, "it's like shooting fvcking fish in a barrel." He also played a Probot song with Lemmy.

I feel badly for the people who play with Foo. Dave is such a dynamic performer, everyone else looks like wet bread. I'm talking about you, Weezer.

Also, WHO wears heels to a rock show. I need sturdy shoes for thrashing myself about! My neck is sore from all of the head banging I did last night <- DIRTY! I wish E was here, she would understand.

Psh.  I would show up to a show in a dress.  Sans panties.  Like any good groupie would do.
