matcha-I want a Clarisonic for Christmas soooo bad. I am an exfoliant addict and I feel like that would help me without being hard on my face.
Moisturizer: Right now I use Oil of Olay and Elizabeth Arden. It works for me.
Concealer: Covergirl for undereyes and for blemishes I use this blemish control concealer that we buy from this woman my Mom has bought from for years. It's not Mary Kay or Avon or anything, it's just her own little brand.
Foundation: Everyday, I use ELF tinted moisturizer. For a little more coverage: MAC Studio Fix. For all out I use Smashbox HD foundation and Halo powder.
Bronzer/Blush: Smashbox has great bronzer palettes, I use the highlight one for bronzer because I am so very pale. Everyday blush is MAC Cheek or Dame. I also love Benefit Dandelion for a glow.
Mascara: This one is tricky, it's hard for me to find one that doesn't flake or smear. Right now I'm using waterproof Defincils by Lancome for everyday and Cargo Better-than-waterproof for special occasions.
Eyes: I love Stila's Kitten eyeshadow. I use MAC sometimes, but I also use a lot of Smashbox, plus NYX has great fun colors. Benfit Eye Bright is awesome.

I am a lipstick junkie. I own a ton of it. For everyday in the fall/winter I wear Clinique's Black Honey (an oldie but a goodie) or Lipstick Queen's Medieval (highly recommend Lipstick Queen, it's fantastic). In Spring I do more of a pinky color like Chanel Rouge Coco Boy or MAC Twig, this Summer I was heavy into corals like Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Sari d'Eau or Revlon Kiss Me Coral. Special occasions I am all about a great red lip: MAC Viva Glam I for a little darker/more brick or MAC Russian Red for a true red.

I love Tarte. I use the tinted moisturizer and it doesn't make my skin as dry as BM does. Its all natural as well! Their gel eyeliners are super yummy and I love their mascara!

I do love me some MAC as well, but usually only for their eyeshadows and mascaras.

[QUOTE]What's Hope in a Jar? I guess I'm kind of not so make up savy - so maybe everyone can dish their favorites??? I tend to stick with L'oreal for eye shadow and either rimmel or maybeline for mascara. And L'oreal for eyeliner too. I need to start doing anti-aging stuff (I've heard your supposed to start at 24 - I'll be 23 in Nov - so why not!?)

I started at 17!

My Faves:
Hope in a Jar moisturizer
VS Luminous Mineral Blush Duo (Light Pinks)
Philosophy Windows to the Soul eye shadow pallette (Box of Truffles)
Clinique High Impact Mascara
Revlon color stay eyeliner
Oh! and I sometimes use bronzer, but when I do I use VS bronzer.

o0o0o Matcha I love tarte too! Great stuff, but I tend to forget about it.. That and stila. Love that stuff but I forget about it.
CAB I LOOOOOOVE MAC false lashes. Totally my go-to thing for nights out. I used to wear them all the time for work because we would open at 3am and that's waaaaayy too early to put on makeup without it burning my eyes. Lashes make me look so much more awake :)

amh- agree with Samij. It's never too early to start with a great moisterizer. Luckily good skin runs in my family so I'm not terribly concerned, but why not stay as young-looking as possible right? ;)

Yay Skin Care questions! It's what I do so I love it!

At the spa I work at, we carry a line called Obagi. IT IS AMAZING. I would suggest looking into it. It's only sold under doctors because it has prescription grade ingredients in it, but you can search on their website where it's sold near you. I work at a spa, but it's owned by a doctor so we can sell. You don't have to go to the doctor to get it.

I use the Obagi C Rx System, it's an eary prevention system and helps to diminish any signs of aging and will work to diminish any sun damage or malasma you might have even though it might not be visible yet.

I also get break outs due to stress or hormones and I just use the therapeutic lotion from the clenziderm acne system.

My skin has changed so much since I've been using it. I was one that would never leave the house without makeup and now I don't care and I get compliments on my skin all the time. My skin is so smooth and I don't look like death without makeup.

Also, the alcohol is not a good idea. Like others have said, you can easily strip your skin of it's natural oil. I don't know what your skin type is but a lot of people that have really oily skin tend to skip moisturizers and they use so many products that dry the oil up but then the skin freaks out and ends up producing even more oil.

Anothe skin care line I like is Pevonia. It's completely organic and they have a lot of good quality products, but I definitely LOVE Obagi. (if you can't tell) .

Also, I recommend getting a facial and get extractions. If you find a good place with a good esthetician then you will really benefit from it. Plus the facial will help with stress. Pamper yourself! lol I would say come to me, buuuuut I'm in Alaska.

For makeup, I really like Jane Iredale mineral makeup. I was so anti mineral makeup until I used it because I had a bad reaction to bare minerals. The Jane Iredale makeup is amazing and it covers REALLY good and if you accidentally sleep in it you won't break out. It doesn't grow bacteria and there's not risk of cross contamination. I really just like their foundations and bronzers. They have some fun lip glosses too. Not a fan of their mascaras or eyshadows though.

Sorry this is so long... Sometimes I can't help myself lol...
