Photo must take list?

We are meeting with our photographer on Monday for the first time (I know, 3 weeks before the wedding, I'm nuts. But we lived in NC when I had to book him).

I have seen some people have a photo must-take list? Please share :)

    Most wedding photographers have a basic set list, including certain getting ready shots, ceremony (readers, musicians, exchanging vows and rings, kiss), formals with wedding party and parents, details, special dances, cake cutting. I would sit down and write down if you want pictures with grandparents (that was a must for us), if there are any artistic pictures you've seen that you'd like (my siggy pic was a must take that I found 2 weeks before the wedding and sent to my photog), etc. What you may want for your pictures is completely different from someone else. We wanted a lot of pictures of our guests, because we knew the day would go by so quickly, and that there would be plenty of pictures of us. GL!

    I have to say the one thing I wanted more of is more pics of Mike and I on the day of.  I felt like we had a lot of formals but not enough informal shots.  We were so rushed I felt and totally not our photogs fault - I just didn't think about it!

    I think most experienced photographers will know to get the standard events during your day. I can only imagine them having to check off a list and end up missing something because they are working off a written list....

    We gave our photographer a list of photos of who we wanted pictures of. She brought up a good point in that she didn't know who Alice, Kate, or David were (just examples of names really). I ended up having a family member from each side of the family help with formal photos but we ended up having a nice amount of candid pictures of us, our parents and guests which were much cooler than the old fashioned posed pictures.

    We didn't give her a list of things to photograph like "the cake" "each toast" "first kiss" because we trusted she had the common sense to do that since she was so highly recommended.
