Registry and Gift Forum

Registry question

We're starting to think about our registry, and I had planned on doing BBB, REI and Target.  My question is this: I know Target has a poor return policy, but we want to add some fun things to the list, like board games, and a few other quirky items that I know BBB and REI don'tn cary (obviously.) We're also avid campers, so when I found out REI has a registry I was sold! But we really only need a few items from there.

So is it wierd to register at Target and REI for only 10 items?  It just seems to me that people might choose to go to Target, look up our registry, and be utterly confused.

Furthermore, none of these places carry any really nice home items, so is it too gift grabby to add another registry like C&B or Pottery Barn?

I don't want it to look like I am going crazy, but we're really registering for a wide variety of items. No duplicates, obviously. :)

Thanks ladies... I don't know why this stresses me out so much, I just feel wierd putting FOUR registeries on my webiste.

Re: Registry question

  • 4 registries look gift grabby.  I would stick with 3.  Target doesn't have the best reviews on registries.  I would skip it and add either C&B or W&S like you said.

  • You should do the larger registries wherever you want, and then combine all of the smaller stuff together on one registry at amazon.

  • Thanks all, I checked out the Amazon registry and I can use it to register for the items I want from REI!

I will still use BBB in case guests wish to actually purchase an item from the store, but most of my guests are comptuer saavy, so I think this is great.

    Thank you again!!
