Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

Vitamin String Quartet

Oh my gosh, if you haven't heard them, look them up on youtube. They do covers of all KINDS of hit songs, and turn them into classy string music! It's totally perfect if you have a sentimental popular song but wanted it wedding-ized.  It's like hearing the song for the first time all over again!

I agree! I read their name in a bridal magazine awhile back and just looked them up on youtube. They are great! I think I may use one of their songs for the bridal party processional!

I'm planning the same thing!  I really love Taylor Swifts "Love Story" but FI hates anything with any hint of 'country' twang to it.  He loved their verison though.

We used VSQ for most of our ceremony music. I wanted modern and he wanted traditional (he was upset for about 10 minutes when I told him I wasn't walking down the aisle to Here Comes the Bride) so it was the perfect compromise.

I love them! I plan on walking down the aisle to their version of "Chasing Cars", and having the attendants walk to "Hallelujah". I wanted something non-traditional but still classy, and VSQ is perfect for that.

I love them too!  I'm planning to use their version of "Somebody to Love" (Queen) for the processional.

FI and love VSQ!!!  He wanted something traditional and I wanted something a little more modern (we are after all, a modern couple).  He heard VSQ and loved them.  We also looked up some music by a group called Harptallica.  It's Metallica played on the harp.  Very beautiful stuff.  Some of the songs have been slowed down and make perfect songs for a wedding, surprisingly enough.
