Brides Maid Gifts

I am thinking about making my MOH and BM gifts I am thinking about making wooden plaques with their name and husbands name and then their last name on top of it with the est. date on it. and for the to BM who are not married my sister and future sister in law I will do a quote about sisters and then the word sisters over the top for mysister and then something else for sis in law.  Is this something you would want as a BM/MOH or should I think of something more specific to them.
Thanks

  • I think its a cute idea. You can do whatever you think they would like. I think something like that would be great if I were receiving it.
  • Personally, I probably wouldn't know what to do with that, and it would end up in a closet somewhere.  I doubt FI and I would want to hang it on our wall.

  • Sorry, but I agree with QuoteQueen.  My fiance and I aren't knick-knack kind of people...so it would go in the closet for a few months, then after awhile it would probably end up in the trash.

You know your bridal party better than any of us would though.
  • It would probably wind up in a closet somewhere.  Sorry.  It's a sweet idea, but picking out home decor for someone else is generally not the best idea.

What about if instead of a plaque you did Christmas ornaments? Like the pps, a plaque is almost defnitely closet-bound, and an ornament, while yes- tucked away for the majority of the year, would be a nice little non-invasive gift that they just hang on their tree every year.
