Holy cow.  I put up a CL ad for a full size bed that we don't need anymore, and I've had 6 calls in the first 10 minutes.  Make it stop!

  • We're lying around watching Red Riding Hood for the hundredth time. I need to go cook dinner but I don't feel like it. I'm eating Doritos instead.

We're about to (hopefully) get some storms. I'm excited.

  • H has awesome luck with selling things on CL.  Me, not so much.
  • We might go to the Outer Banks in September.  We haven't decided yet.  And of course that assumes that I'm not having any complications and can travel freely at that point.

Yep.  Or you say "Call Les at #" and they email you.

I've had pretty good results selling stuff on CL, Marrin.  DH has bought 3 or 4 cars on there too.

  • Fun, jcb! I love the Keys. And yeah, that's a long drive for us. We drove to Marathon the day after our wedding and it felt like the world's longest drive.

My stepdad used to sell stuff on CL all the time. He and my mom love house shopping on there, even though they have no plans on buying. They just like to look.
  • I sold a car on CL once in 20 minutes and they didn't haggle on the price at all.

  • H has sold cars, home gym (probably not a good idea in retrospect because now that we don't have it, I want it!), some used equipment from his business, and other odds and ends.  Right now we're looking for a reclining love seat; I'm not having much luck on the buying end either :(

I have sold several things on CL, I love it. But, I do hate the spam and idiots.

JCB- Yeah, I try to keep to his regular schedule when we are at work, but there are times I just need to get stuff done, or need a break. So, I dont want him in there TOO much. KWIM?

  • Good evening. I'm making smoked cheddar mac and cheese for dinner and watching the Orioles game. It's in extra innings and my fingers are tightly crossed. I would love to sweep Boston.

We did a kidney fundraiser walk this morning at the zoo which was a lot of fun. I'd never actually been to our zoo before. Unfortunately we both forgot our cameras.

I love CL, we both buy and sell stuff on there a few times a year. You have to be able to weed out the crazies and the scammers but it generally has been positive.

  • Well, hello :) I just skimmed the thread. We just got home from NC and picking up the dog, and now we're all just lazing around.  We're starving, but who wants to get back into a car to get something after a 10 hour drive?
  • Nates - that's what delivery is for :)
  • Oh, hey, congrats, Loopy! I just noticed your ticker!

And, yeah, I think we need to make some calls because we're not moving :P
  • Thanks Nates.

Mates, there is something really satisfying about pizza delivery after a long drive! Maybe I'm just weird. :. Eta nice autocorrect, sorry Nates!

  • Hehe, JCG. My phone is always posting ridiculous crap.  Before I was writing "hi" and it corrected to "Hi-hat." We just ordered from our favorite greasy spoon grill, so now we have to just hold ourselves together until it comes.

We're still planning on buying a new car and I'm seriously toying with the idea of selling on Craigslist.  The mechanic was telling me how easy it would be to set up, but I'm kind of nervous about it.
  • Evening Ladies!

    Busy day here today.

Scrubbed the bathrooms on my hands and knees from top to bottom, scrubbed and rearranged the entire kitchen and living room area, officially set up all my art supplies in my library so it's now been renamed "the studio", mowed and weedwacked the yard, and now I'm enjoying watching my H cook dinner (bacon cheddar burgers and sweet potato fries) while I take a break before attacking the entryway and stairs with a scrub brush and some wood oil.

I'm beat but hopefully it'll be worth it when the assessor comes on Tuesday

  • Anyone still around? I took a bath, and it was fantastic.  Then H and I had his cake with ice cream while fighting off the dogs ;)  I think I've had more sugar in the last hour than I should have in a normal week.

    Anna, why the assessor?
  • Hai. I'm about to start dinner. Trying that bake again, only this time with less spice so I can actually enjoy it.

This sounds like the perfect evening. Now I want cake and ice cream!

  • Any - that bake looked really good.  I kinda want to add more veggies though - zucchini, squash, maybe eggplant and/or tomatoes... And probably less tortellini (so it still fits in a casserole dish LOL).  What do you think?

<div>I'm adding more spinach too since it wasn't nearly enough for me to feel like the healthiness outweighed the 320 calories per cup of JUST the tortellini, let alone the milk/flour and bacon, lol. I think it'd probably be good with those. </div>

I had blackberries and strawberries for dinner. I eat weird when H is gone, I may have some eggs and english muffin for dinner.

  • We're watching Tosh.0 while waiting for Once upon a Time, then Game of Thrones. I made Dirty Rice earlier.

I'm attempting to write, but mostly I'm just staring at the computer.
  • I am trying to meal plan but come up with healthy options.  It is hard when I don't eat cheese with the exception of mozzarella, and even that is rare.  It seems everything has some sort of dairy in it and that makes it hard.

<div>I feel ya. Everything I like usually has a ton of cheese in it. So delicious.</div>
