Sottero and Midgley- Adorae question

Hey brides!
So today and yesterday I tried on what I've dubbed my "Dream Dress," the Sottero and Midgley Adorae dress in ivory. I LOVE the fit of the dress. It does all the right things for me. My only, only concern is does the fabric look cheap or too shiny in pics? If you've seen someone wear this dress or you have/are going to wear this dress, please let me know what you think.
Thanks!!
Lindsay

    That's my wedding dress. :)

If you google image search for the dress, you'll find lots of pictures of real brides in the dress and you can decide for yourself.  FWIW, I have pictures of me trying the dress on and I don't think it  looks cheap at all.

  • Have you tried looking on the website for the real brides pictures? Since those are pro pics, that may help you get a better idea.

However, I don't think it will be too shiny without seeing it. My dress was as S&M and had a lot of beads and sequins on it. The way the light reflected it was awesome in several of the pics esp those that were taken outside.

  • That's my dress too. When I tried it on, I just fell in love. And...when I brought my mom and dad to see the dress, my Dad went picture crazy. He has a really good camera, (like he switches out the lenses and he thinks he is a professional photographer type of camera) and when I saw the pictures it didn't look too shiny at all. With that said, it is' a Satin type of dress so if you are not going for that look, try something else. But it is gorgeous. I was watching, Say YES to the Dress, last night and the Adorea was one of the dresses the Bride tried on. It took everything I had not to scream, "That's my Dress" to my fiance. I had to take deep breaths! Enjoy.
  • I had never thought about a dress being too shiny! Mine's also a Sottero and Midgley, but a dress called Geddes. It's a metallic taffeta, but doesn't look too shiny, but now I'm worried about pictures :(
