reserved signs and petal cones

Hi! I wanted to know how many reserved signs are necessary for the ceremony chairs . Is it better to buy one for each of the front rows(for the aisle chair) or do I need to have them on all reserved chairs?

Also, how many petal cones should I have if I want to hang them on the chairs. Is it better to have them just on the aisle chairs? Thanks!

Re: reserved signs and petal cones

  • Either way is fine. If I were doing it, I'd probably do a Reserved sign for the end of each row, with ribbon to "rope" them off.

How many petal cones depends on what you want them for. Are you expecting the guests to use them to throw petals on you? Or is it just decorative? If it's the first option, you'll need more than one per aisle. If they are just decorative, it depends on how much you want to spend or DIY. Unless these have a use for later, I'd do as few as possible. If they are for decorations, maybe alternate the cones with big bows in your colors on the end chair of each row. Cones may be hard to see.

    Good luck.

  • I only put reserved signs on the chairs for the parents, grandparent, brother-in-law, and nephew.  I made separate ones for each person and had their title put on (Mother of the Bride, etc.).

  • If you've good ushers, you shouldn't need any reserved signs! Just make sure your guys know where to sit the VIPs and don't worry about it.  Plus, its pretty common etiquette to know not to sit in the front row unless you are a parent, grandparent, or whatnot.  But, if you still feel the signs are necessary, one per row should be more than sufficient.
