Regular or Mini Cupcakes?

I am having a hard time deciding between Regular and Mini cupcakes.  FI doesn’t really care too much, and I am over-thinking it as usual. There are a few really cool flavors that Retro Bakery has, and we could easily pick 6 flavors.

Regular Pro – I love the way the Regular cupcakes look in a tower.
Regular Con – Guests wouldn’t be able to taste all the amazing flavors we choose.

Mini Pro – Guests could eat a few different flavors.
Mini Con – I don’t think the Mini cupcake tower looks as amazing as the Regular one.  Also, Mini to-go boxes are not as common as regular boxes.

Anyone have any amazing advice or preference? Also, how many cupcakes per person did you allocate for? 1.5 Regular pp/3.5 Mini pp?

    If you want your guests to have more than one, I think the mini cupcakes look fine for the tower. 3 per person would be fine.  I'm also using Retro! I was there a few weeks ago to get sample cupcakes, and they are so delicious! Butterscotch and red velvet were incredible!

    I had this issue too!  We decided on a bakery with only regular ones and like you said I like the look better.  Still such a hard decision! LOL  I'm stuggling with flavors now...do I do that same? If I pick different ones what if X is more popular and Y no one wants etc etc.  I over think too :)

    We're doing the minis because I know my family is going to want to try multiple flavors and less waste that day. I hope the tower doesn't look too sparse, but I guess we'll see!

    I'm going with the minis, people can sample more flavors which is more fun. I also felt like it wa s just enough sweetness, I don't like eating an entire cupcake so I figured minis are perfect size.

    I would go with taste over appearance so I would say regular. I wasn't too sure about the look of the mini's either but there was a bride on her that got married in December I think and her mini tower looked amazing!
