Well new to this section, but I've been lurking around TK for about a year now.
I did fill out a post in the getting to know you section, but per Stina's post I figured I would post this up here as well.
FH and I are getting married on 10/06 here in Rhode Island and we cannot wait! We have a lot of checks done, but still so many more to go. We've been engaged since November of 2011 and wanted a long engagement so I could graduate school and get situated in my career.
So far we have the following done:
- Honeymoon
- DJ
- Photographer
- Florist (also assisting with event decor)
- Bakery
- Officiant
- Bridesmaid's dresses are ordered
- I have my dress/shoes/veils/tiara
- Uplighting
- Photobooth
- Venue: ceremony and reception are on the same site, we're hoping for an outdoor ceremony
- Hair/Makeup for the girls and Hair/Makeup for me
- We did our engagement shoot back in October down in Newport, RI
- Hotel rooms are blocked off
- Passports are done
- Save the dates were sent out New Year's Eve
- Videographer is booked (but that situation is hairy so we're hoping to fix it this month)
- Custom aisle runner is ordered
- We completed our registry on New Year's Eve
- I have a LOT of my decor stuff already, for the candy table, tables themselves, my escort cards are done (no names yet, of course), unity candle, centerpieces for the deck tables are made, I made votives with crystals on them, server/flutes, etc.
And I'm probably forgetting some stuff also. We're going to the venue tonight to finalize our linen choices that we picked out back in October. It should be fun! With so much checked off there is still so much to do! I look forward to all of it though, it's going to be a FAST 9 months!
